Jailin is a beautiful host and a nice person. We didn’t spend much time together, because she was away. I spent 3 weeks at Jailin‘s place, mainly taking care of Reece. Reece is calm and lovely. I walked her twice a day near the neighbourhood, which i love the most is beaver boardwalk. Hinton is a gorgeous town. And Jailin’s place is very cozy and comfortable. So grateful to have this chance to visit Hinton. Jailin is a good Workaway host, for sure. Thank you for having me again, Jailin. Take care! Jing

Melissa and Roberto are the most kind and compassionate people ever! We spent an amazing week at their beautiful home surround by nature where they taught us about the different plants and animals in the area. They would cook the most amazing meals for us everyday and we felt truly spoiled. In the evening they would tell us stories, give us great recommendations, and we would all play a fun card game (skyjo!) Each day we stayed we felt less like a visitor and more like part of the family. We LOVED playing with their adorable dog Fritto as well! The cabin we stayed in was so cozy, with a clean room and bathroom. We were lucky enough to be there during Melissa’s birthday and they were kind enough to take us out to dinner. We enjoyed doing the work and helping with their beautiful home, we even got to cut down and keep lots of bananas! Thank you guys again for an unforgettable stay!

Simon is a good human. He is kind and gets along with everyone. Simon was a pleasure to host. Fair winds brother.

Dorian is an excellent human. He is very enthusiastic and works well. Dorian is also a fine chef. We will miss his deliciousness! Fair winds brother and see you soon!

Tereza and Ádám visited us during hiking in the region and we are very thankful that Ádám came back a few days later to help us for a whole week. He was tireless in the garden, always asking for more work to do. He also helped a lot around the house, fixing the fence, looked after and playing a lot with our son, taking our dog to walk, baking excellent bread for all of us, he was an all-rounder. We would like to thank you for all your help here, now I can see a possibility that our next year's crops can be planted in time, this wouldn't be possible without your help. Wish you luck and good travels to your next destination!

An incredible, warm and genuinely kind family, we felt at home from the very first minute. Always attentive and extremely patient (especially with those who don’t speak English), this has been by far the best Workaway experience we’ve ever had. We recommend them with eyes closed!

Theo was amazing to have around, lovely and kind, kids and grownups alike loved him and he managed to think his way through a watering system and mostly installled it alone.. massive help with watering the veg and other areas much more efficiently. He worked independently and showed great skill with everything he did...Awesome chats and great cooking! We'd love to see him again!

Me senti muy bien en la casa de Mariano desde el dia uno, aunque estaba bastante estresada. El ambiente es muy acogedor y se comparte mucho con los chicos en casa pero también con los vecinos que suelen pasar. La vida es como uno se la imagina en el campo! Mariano no habla siempre y/o molto pero se puede tener muy buenas conversaciones con él, que se tratan de cosas serias o frivoles. Lorsica (y sus alrededores) tiene(n) mucho por ofrecer y tanto por descubrir todavia! Gracias por los recuerdos, nos vemos en Cordoba!

I spent three weeks at Paul’s place helping with the olive harvest together with a group of eight volunteers, and it was a truly enriching experience. Even though Paul had to leave unexpectedly to be with his mother, he made sure we had everything we needed and trusted us to continue the work independently. The experience was incredibly rewarding — from learning about the process of making olive oil to sharing great moments with the other volunteers. I’m grateful for the trust Paul placed in us and for the opportunity to be part of this project during a challenging time for him. Thank you, Paul, for welcoming us into your home and for creating such a meaningful and memorable experience.

I spent a week at Flame’s circus school in Alpedriz and had an amazing experience. The village is peaceful, the place is full of creativity, and the atmosphere felt instantly welcoming. During my stay, I helped with painting, digging a trench for the garden layout, and giving a hand to her friend João — and I truly enjoyed every task. Thank you so much, Flame, for your positive energy, your good mood, and all the inspiring conversations we shared. Your creativity and enthusiasm make the project a really special place to stay. I’m grateful for the time there and for everything you shared with me. Highly recommended!

Really enjoyed having Arnaud stay with me. He was a tremendous help, and it was wonderful to see him appreciate the pleasure of having a garden and a 'cat'. We had fun cooking and he proved to be a great pizza dough chef. Arnaud learns quickly and I am sure will continuously improve his English and kiwi slang. Hope to see him back before he returns to his home country.

It was wonderful having Ben and Ellory stay with us. They brought great energy into the house and were a huge help — both in the work we shared and in everyday life. We really enjoyed the time spent together, the conversations, and getting to know more about their experiences and perspectives. Thank you, Ben and Ellory, for everything you contributed. It was truly a pleasure to host Hanna in our home. She was incredibly helpful, both with the work and with daily life. I had a great 3 weeks staying with Marly and Vincent. I worked in the garden, while enjoying spectacular mountain views from the nature reserve where they lived. I had plenty of time in the afternoons to explore the surrounding areas. They were very generous and I shared many lunches (and beers) with them and their friends. We enjoyed many evenings sitting in their sun room after dinner, discussing the important topics of the day, like who is the greatest Formula 1 driver of all time...we disagreed on that one. I would strongly recommend Workaway, particularly to young people, but anyone can benefit from the experience. If you’re looking for a great Workaway experience, then I highly recommend Marly and Vincent.

Jelle and Luna stayed with us for nearly a month. The main focus of help was with our backyard landscaping. They came with great motivation to help us where needed, were both hands on and not afraid to get into work that was often physically demanding. Jelle and Luna were flexible helpers and happy to adjust their availabilities to our needs. We loved how they noticed where help was needed and naturally lend us a hand with other household tasks like laundry and tidying up the kitchen. They were accommodating guests, happy to become part of our family and join us on various adventures. We are so grateful for all their help and highly recommend this couple to other hosts. A big thank you from all of us and keep in touch!!

Ruben was an absolutely positive addition to our lil Forest Hideaway. He showed up eager to help out, and Always upbeat and curious about how he could contribute every day! Whether it was cleaning and oiling decks, schlepping branches out of the forest, organizing Nik's workshop or a myriad of other tasks, Ruben was a delight to have here! We would welcome him back anytime, and any host would be lucky to have him as their helper. He was a great communicator and basically, he lights up any space that he is in!

Mandy is a Turkish soul with Finnish passport. Understands basic Turkish. She is full of beautiful surprises. She was a reliable helper. Took initiative and did more then what she was asked to do. Really good at housekeeping and cleaning. For some reason I believe I will see her again.

Once in a blue moon, you encounter a person here on Workaway bringing the exceptional, well-rounded skill set of a traversed multi-craftsman to bless and ease your life with. Perhaps even more seldomly, you come across someone who immediately presents as a trusted and cherished close friend and invested ally in shared ideological and existential perspective, and the undertaking endeavours thereof in today's world — daring to stand out as a free, indomitable human being in refusal to be managed like cattle by an authoritarian system structure leaving few stones unturned in its wake. Ruairi somehow encompassed both of those priceless virtues from the moment he contacted me, only to transcend it to physical presence as soon as he showed up. Instantly, I felt as if my life gained a highly valuable presence, which I cannot wait to reunite with in near future. Personal aspects aside, describing him as a worker is fairly simple: outstanding knowledge and reliability in his field. "Old school" craftsman who performs his trades meticulously and properly; a secure hand knowing its business through and through, yet always there with constructive ideas and creative input while staying respectful and thoughtful to your individual vision(s). It cannot be understated, the luxury of such a guy being part of your renovation process, lifting it to next level and beyond. In short, if having building work to be done, you will be hard pressed to find better candidates than him to welcome as your guest. Few comparisons. Enjoy him being around. Thank you, Ruairi, for blessing me and my son's lives with your resources of knowledge, skill, not to mention elevated insight and focus. The synergetic growth of corresponding minds and hearts echoes and resounds with the interesting time awaiting, whatever it may contain :)

Eirini and Karo stayed with us for 3 weeks. Along with 2 other workawayers they settled in quickly to the house and routine. Both Eirini and Karo are lovely and were brilliant with the animals and our dogs fell in love with them both. They did a super job out in the garden, tackling monster hedges , laying a stone path, and building new egg houses, as well as looking after the hens.. walking the dogs ..no job was too big or small It was lovely to get to know them both.
