Carlotta and Nicolo are absolutely amazing, as individuals and as a couple. its been a huge honor and privilege to have them as part of our family:) they both helped us in many different projects around involving art, social media and construction. they also cooked amazing food for us and participated in our social projects around the island - helping in a local animal shelter and in a public school. other then that, they are just so fun to be around, they bring the best energy, are always up for helping everyone with everything, and make everyone around them feel instantly comfortable and safe. we shared a lot of beautiful moments with them, and we honestly wish they could've stayed longer. any project that will get them on the team will win big time!!! miss you guys, waiting for you to come back;)

Mike is a truly wonderful host and made me feel very welcome right from the beginning. I unfortuantely got ill and had to arrive a few days later than planned. Mike was really understanding of this and assured me to focus on regaining my strength before arriving. The accommodation and food provided is all exceptional. Mike always made sure you had everything you needed and really looked after us all. I had varied tasks including weeding, wood staining, mulching and planting multiple comfrey roots. Each task was explained well and how to use tools etc. If I had any questions or was unsure on anything I would always ask and Mike was happy to explain further. Billy the dog is also a delight to be around and a great source of entertainment in the evenings. Mike is really knowledgable about the native plant life of New Zealand. I learnt a lot about different native species and how they are managed or what threatens them. What he has done with the land is incredible and I am excited to see how the project develops over time. Mike also gave us plenty of information about walks and places to visit across New Zealand and in the local area on our days off. Overall I had an amazing experience and I reccommend this workaway highly!

What a great first workaway experience this was! Violet and Wayne were welcoming and friendly from day one, and I felt right at home. Violet is super knowledgeable about the cows and I learnt so much from her about cow and calf care. Violet was patient and kind even when we were all tired, and there was never a dull moment between sorting the cows and playing card games. The days varied depending on what point in calving we were at, with shorter days when it was quieter and longer days when more cows started to calve. I can’t recommend these guys enough if you want to get a taste for ranch life in northern BC :)

I stayed at Krushna’s house for a few days. It was a very good experience for me. Krushna is very kind and generous. He welcomed me into his home and his village. Even though he is busy with a big project, he showed me the village, the farm, and his work. He also shared his culture, ideas, and dreams with me. In my free time, I explored the village. The people there were very kind and showed me their daily life and work. I learned a lot about village life in India. The life is simple, but I felt it was very peaceful and meaningful. Thank you to Krushna and everyone in the village for this wonderful experience.

My experience at this hostel was excellent. From the very beginning, everyone made me feel welcome: Angie, Freddy, Alejo, Valeria, Fanny, and Ana are all amazing people and great to work with. The tasks were clear and easy to do, and everything was well explained. The schedule is very fair: you work only 4 days a week, and if possible, you can organize your 3 days off in a row, which is perfect if you want to travel and explore the area. The hostel is located very close to the main square of Filandia, and from there you have easy access to many beautiful places around the region. Overall, it was a great experience, good atmosphere, clear responsibilities, and a wonderful team. Definitely recommended!

Aly is an amazing woman, sweet, empathetic, and full of energy, character, and inner strength. She helped so much in everything, always with enthusiasm and a smile. She's an expert at weeding and careful with animals. She learned and enjoyed riding horses on the beach and also demonstrated her determination working with Alarik. She planted seeds among fruit trees and native trees, learned about composting, and how valuable ash is for mixing with the soil and planting. It was a time of learning and fun that will be treasured forever. Aly will be much loved wherever she goes, just as she is here. Her commitment to what she sets out to do is invaluable, and she, as a human being, is a treasure.

We stayed in Palm Beach taking care of Mahlo for a week. It was an amazing experience. The area is so nice and Eloises house was amazing. We had the best time with Mahlo and took him to the beach and walks everyday. He loves people and is very affectionate and well behaved, we miss him already. Eloise was also super helpful with everything throughout our stay.

I had a wonderful time at Nazha’s. It was a truly an immersive experience, spending time in the rural town of Oulad Teima, living with Nazha and teaching at the school. The kids are wonderful and so eager to learn. Try to learn a bit of Darija so that you can communicate with them more freely too, it’ll pay off a lot. The time commitment was very fair, a few hours of lesson planning and teaching a day, occasional deep cleaning, and daily cleaning. If you’re a digital nomad with a flexible schedule, you can make this work (as long as you don’t need super fast wifi and don’t have strict commitment hours). You have the weekends off to stay someplace else and explore. There are weekly visits to Nazha’s brother’s house to help out there too.. The biggest thing is to communicate if need something. Nazha is receptive to communication and will compromise if you need any change. Although the town is in the far south, you should definitely try to take weekend trips to Tamraght, Taghazaout, Essaouira etc. This experience is very much what you make of it - be kind and respectful, open to new experiences and communicative, and you will have a wonderful time :).

I can certainly attest to the fact that all the many positive reviews regarding Graziano are entirely accurate. He is a quiet calm presence who is consistently gracious and always grateful. I would say he is mature beyond his years, able to discourse on a variety of topics eloquently. He managed edging my garden beds with a bit of painting and earth moving thrown in independently and was always a self starter. I was delighted with what he managed to achieve. If you would like a low key, drama free, self motivated, interesting and interested work awayer I'd have no hesitation in recommending Graziano.

Pietro is an enthusiastic, kind and helpful young man. He was a pleasure to host and we will miss his lively, cheerful personality. He adjusted quickly to the demands of our busy lives and over the month began to learn new skills and put them into practice. He worked hard and was willing to do everything we asked him to do in three different locations. He is patient - especially living in our home with small children, customers and guests often here. He made friends in the village and learned a lot about Barbuda in his month here. We hope he will come back and see us in the future.

enjoyed having g Yuka stay and help with housework. we worked well together and enjoyed her company, an honest worker, I can recommend her for hosts.

My time with Erin and Jay was short but I very much enjoyed their company. They are very kind and friendly. I worked with Jay helping installing the windows in the greenhouse and it was very relax, stress free and enjoyable. Jay is easy going and has a good sense of humor , it was a pleasure to work alongside with him. The tiny home is very cosy, clean and comfortable with everything you need . I highly recommend staying with Erin and Jay, they are a great couple ! Thank you for having me !

I had a really good and authentic stay with Achille, Josefa, their big family — and the dogs! They are very warm and welcoming while also respecting both their own privacy and yours, which creates a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. The work mainly involved helping on the construction site (especially the foundation) and some tasks around the farm. Achille explained everything clearly and was always patient. The work is physical but very fair — and I honestly enjoyed being nicely tired in one of the hammocks afterwards haha. I learned a lot and really appreciated the experience. On the four working days (Mon/Tue/Thu/Fri), I shared breakfast and incredibly delicious lunch with the family. They also provide plenty of basic food supplies (oil, salt, rice, pasta, sauce, bread, and fresh vegetables from the garden), so I only needed to buy a few extras for the other meals. A highlight: there are tons of figs on the property you can pick. Sometimes I was also invited to join additional family meals. We shared nice moments together — for example visiting a local festival on one or a local BBQ on the other weekend. The cultural exchange here is definitely real, and you learn a lot about the region and language. Some English is spoken, but basic Spanish or French really helps. Also note: there is currently no Wi-Fi, so you’ll need a SIM card (Achille kindly helped me set mine up). Overall, I can definitely recommend this Workaway to independent and respectful volunteers who enjoy hands-on work. Thanks again for the experience guys!

I loved spending a week with Jane!! She was so kind and welcoming to me and I felt like at home! we had interesting talks, she invited me to her friends and took me with her to the city and beach so I had a really nice and interesting time! The work I had to do was totally doable, not too difficult gardening work and a bit housework when it was raining. I also had a lot of free time, where I could relax in her beautiful home in the nature (there were also amazing walks from her place). Her dog was very friendly and the food was super delicious! I can't say anything bad about my stay! it was just a wonderful week! Thank you very much Jane for the lovely time!🌸

It was one of the most memorable Workaways for us in our 7 month journey. The puppies are already big , but they are still playful and very easy to fall in love to, so beware. We had our very peaceful and equally exciting time here , especially after all the tourism that surrounds Peru. Other volunteers, Paula, Luthy, Paolo, who were there with us made it memorable for life , I wish we can reunite again and play one more Dutch game. If you are lucky , you, future volunteer, might ride horse with Elmer, milk a cow and enjoy Puno like a local and there are way more things to do for proactive people and if we understood right, Zeze has a lot of plans to turn Fondo Chincheros into something even more incredible, so you will surely have fun time there. We had a great time with Sarah and Sydney. They layed the foundation of the tiny house, Cleaning terrasses, walking the donkeys around. We played games, had good talks, a very enthusiastic and warm lovely couple. We will miss you!! ...have a good time!!

It's been so much fun to join Elissa and Claudia's family! We were passing through Switzerland and wanted to stop at workaway, and luckily these amazing ladies graciously allowed us to stay on short notice. We thought we would stay one night and now it's been almost a week haha. We arrived and felt at home straight away. I've never eaten so well! It's lovely life on this mountain, the main reason being the amazing personalities of the people here :)

Kate ! Thankyou for choosing to stay with us ! You just slotted in so nicely and understood the flow of the house and family life We didnt go hungry with you around and my girls adored you ! You eased my load with dishes and washing daily plus tackled some larger jobs on my never ending to do list I enjoyed getting to know you and showing you a little bit of our paradise. May our paths cross again in 10 years when time is back on our sides ! Highly recommend Kate if you get the chance to host her
