  Description

  We are a learning Academy for kids and teenagers founded in 2018, located in the city of Quillabamba, in Cusco, Peru. Exactly 5 hours away from Cusco's airport and just 2 hours from Machu Picchu.
  
  Our mission is to provide the space for our children to learn and to express their emotions through different types of workshops, which will enable them to improve, to share and to create. The main goal is to help them to evolve wisely by developing and improving their talents. This will allow them to help their big families and to contribute to Peru's growing economy with great creations.
  
  We are looking for talented and productive volunteers to help us with different tasks such as:
  - Cooperation.
  - Interaction.
  - Art lessons.
  - Music lessons.
  - Dance lessons.
  - English lessons.
  - Social Media and Marketing.
  - Improving our lovely space with your beautiful ideas.
  
  From Mondays to Fridays in the mornings we offer a great opportunity for volunteers to teach English in Quillabamba's best local school to different age groups, and in the afternoons to collaborate and to create in the Academy, which opens from 15:00pm to 19:00pm. The schedules can be flexible and adapted to your preferences and time. We ask for just 25 working hours weekly!
  
  You will have the weekends totally free to explore and to discover the place, the culture, the main attractions such as Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley, the local waterfalls and much more!

  Somos una Academia de Aprendizaje para niños y jóvenes, fundada en 2018, ubicada en la ciudad de Quillabamba, en Cusco, Peru. Exactamente a 5 horas del aeropuerto de Cusco y a solo 2 horas de Machu Picchu.
  
  Nuestra misión es proveer los espacios para que nuestros niños puedan aprender y expresar sus emociones a través de diferentes talleres, para que puedan mejorar, compartir y crear con los elementos apropiados. El principal objetivo es que puedan evolucionar sabiamente mediante el desarrollo y el perfeccionamiento de sus habilidades. Así podrán ser capaces de ayudar a sus familias y podrán contribuir a la creciente economía del Peru con grandes creaciones.
  
  Estamos buscando voluntarios productivos y capaces que nos puedan ayudar con diferentes tareas como:
  - Cooperar.
  - Interactuar.
  - Lecciones de Arte.
  - Lecciones de Música.
  - Lecciones de Baile.
  - Lecciones de Ingles.
  - Redes Sociales y Marketing.
  - Mejorando nuestro espacio con hermosas ideas.
  
  De lunes a viernes en las mañanas los voluntarios tendrán la oportunidad de enseñar inglés en la mejor escuela local de Quillabamba a diferentes grupos de estudiantes, y en las tardes podrán colaborar y crear en la Academia, la cual abre de 15:00pm a 19:00pm. Los horarios pueden ser flexibles y adaptarse a su disponibilidad de tiempo. Solicitamos solo 25 horas laborales por semana!
  
  Tendrán los fines de semanas totalmente libres para explorar y descubrir la cultura, las principales atracciones turísticas como Machu Picchu y el Valle Sagrado, las cascadas locales y mucho más!

  Aide

  ALL THE YEAR
  We need volunteers for teaching arts like drawing, painting, origami and crafts, music like dancing ballet, singing or different instruments like piano, guitar, violin and more. No past experience is needed, just the willing to teach what you know and the patience and trust in your capacity to transmit your knowledge! The students are aged between 3 and 16 years old. Both in the Academy and in the local school.
  
  Quillabamba is known as the Eternal Summer City for its perfect tropical climate, it’s a beautiful community full of friendly people. You will have the opportunity to meet the locals who can invite you to go hiking to some of the dozens of waterfalls in the area, swim in one of the 5 pools in the city, enjoy the weekend festivities, visit the weekly farmers markets, take a weekend trip to Machu Picchu or the natural hot springs of Santa Teresa, or taste the coffee and chocolate for which Quillabamba is famous. The city is surrounded by small family farms where they grow oranges, bananas, tomatoes, avocados, pineapples, mangoes, coconuts, papayas, cocoa, coffee and much more.
  
  While we do not require volunteers to speak Spanish, we recommend to know some basic Spanish in order to communicate more easily with the students. You will have the opportunity to experience a complete Peruvian immersion, which is ideal for those who want to learn or improve Spanish, as well as for those who are looking for a cultural exchange.
  
  We need creative people who can serve as assistants in the classes. There is an average of 8 children per class where we try to include the ones with autism or learning difficulties. They are taught through art (music, origami, crafts, ballet, painting) how to adapt themselves and be part of a group without feeling excluded. The volunteer must learn to conduct these small workshops by following the guidance of the principal.
  
  You will be an important support and will take care of them. If you believe you have more to share and to teach, you’ll have the opportunity to do it!

  Hébergement

  We offer a lovely accommodation in a big opened space with three rooms for two or three volunteers each, with a fast WiFi connection and a shared area with a kitchen. We provide free lunch every day!
  
  *We apologize but we can’t accept smokers as volunteers and smoking in the property is not allowed, for safety and well-being reasons. Thanks for your understanding.*

  We are located just 2 hours away from Machupicchu and 5 hours from Cusco's airport. If you come from Cusco, you can take a public bus (35 soles) or a private car (45 soles).
