We were very pleased with Eniko and Kata. They communicated any concerns they had and were very cooperative. They expressed interest in returning in the future, and we would welcome them.

Yoshiko stayed with us for 10 days. He was a great help and always cheerful. During his time here he helped us with a variety of tasks, such as digging out and carrying turf squares from the turf roof that we are repairing, weeding blacklisted plants, mowing our very overgrown lawn, cleaning the chicken house and picking up stones from the chicken run. He also fed the chickens every morning. Yoshiko was also very nice company and it was a pleasure to have him around!

Carla is a very kind, honest and talented guest to have stay with us. My kids LOVE her. Her musicality, creativity, and ability to be present with the girls was a real gift in our household. She brought a sense of ease and was very very able to go with the flow in a forever changing schedule. Whenever I needed her, she made it very easy to communicate with her, and never let my last minute requests weight on her. Really a blessing. She remains the only person who is able to get my two girls to sleep. She understands the dangers of the screen time, and never resorted to it if I asked her not to. Really switched on and reliable with my girls. They miss her a lot. co-living didnt really happen, so the very few tasks that I needed help with around the house were very rarely met. But the very little time she spent in the house, she always made sure to clear up the play time, and she was very good with making food for the girls. Her ability to socialize and meet new people is a breath of fresh air, and i really loved hearing about her adventures in Milan. I certainly recommend her to any further hosts and remain available to be contacted if someone in the future would like a recommendation. I wish her all the best in her studies in Milan next year, and hope to co-ordinate some play time with her and the girls. Great language skills and super friendly mom and dad :) THANK You for everything!!

What a joy it was to host Malin and Agnes! Always happy, upbeat, willing to learn and help with any task we asked them to do. Very polite, and they both so easily fit into our family We had many great conversations around the dinner table, laughed a lot and got to try some of their cooking inventions. We highly recommend them both!

We hosted Kendra for two weeks and really enjoyed getting to know about her & her life in the States. Kendra fitted in well with our family and was great at interacting with our 2 small children which was such a good help to us. We really enjoyed our chats over meals and wish her all the best for her future adventures .

Kate is an excellent woman, who is truly wonderful to have around. Kate has many talents and skills and is also on her way to being the world's best and most empathetic doctor in this world. She will be dearly missed and will hopefully return some day. Alternatively we will just sail to Australia and go to her if we need any serious medical care and or hugs. We miss you Kate. After you and Old Mate are married im sure we will vibe again some time. Somewhere. :)

Charlie is one of the most wonderful people and hosts i legitimately could have ever asked for. She was my first host ever and i couldn’t have had a better person to start with. She is such a great, strong woman with so much empathy, knowledge and love in her heart. I stayed with her for 2 weeks at the beginning of April and did some gardening work and helped with some other minor things. We had an absolute blast just sitting in the kitchen and sharing music, talking for hours about sooo many things. She is super insightful and helpful and changed my outlook on life a lot, which i am so grateful for!! On the weekends she took me to a little flea market and after we drove all around the Peninsula, where she showed me one the most stunning places i seen so far. The Nature there is unbelievably stunning and the Hill/Mountain right up the street offers great views and walks. After spending the greatest time with her i went to go to another host, which didn’t work out. After i called her in tears she took me back right away, even though she was travelling around south africa at that time. I stayed at her place with her daughter Ferne next door. For the remainder of my 10 days there and continued the work i had already started and helped Ferne wherever i could. (BIG thank you to her and her amazing little family as well!!) I grew such a big connection to both of them and will definitely stay and touch and even come to visit. The time with her has changed me so much for the better and impacted me greatly!! I will definitely see her again and thank her for everything she did for me!! So if you are not already convinced that Charlie is an amazing human being you are definitely missing out big time!!

We were so thrilled to be Thomas And Emma’s first Workaway hosts. They came to stay over nearly 2 weeks. They are so incredibly cooperative and friendly. I would highly recommend them both two other hosts. They did a range of tasks on the property from landscaping to sanding furniture to cleaning - welding, building - the list goes on. They are quick on all modes of modern SMS and very easy to communicate with. Very positive people. They also got on well with some other Workaway people we had say (at the last minute - thank u!) It was so nice to meet you both and thank you for all your help! Josh, Kwame, Asterix (oh - and also dog lovers)

Joe is truly an excellent woman. She brought a wonderful warm energy to the project and was highly skilled in creative tasks Joe also cooked and baked outrageously delicious things. She was vibetastic and I hope to see her again on the high seas some day. Thank you Madame and fairest of acoustic winds xox

We really loved having Maya stay with us. She is so bright and bubbly and full of fun and just jumps right in to help with whatever needs doing. Our kids really loved spending time with her too. She is really great company and good fun to have around. Would have her back in a heartbeat.

For my first workaway experience, it was inspiring, unforgettable, and truly surpassed all expectations! Patti as a host is very welcoming, trusting, and generous. She encourages independence in both working and co-living contexts, giving clear instructions and a supportive energy. The tasks are collaborative and varied, I arrived early June and was involved with weeding, hay-making, and taking the horses up to their holiday mountain retreat :). I was also able to join numerous out-rides in the valley which was a real treat! We cooked together most nights with two other workawayer’s, using Patti’s fresh garden produce and her well stocked pantry (and snack cupboard ;) ) In my days off, I explored hiking trails and swimming spots in the area. I used buses to get to start points which are very reliable. Thanks again Patti! I really enjoyed getting to know you personally as well as your way of life. You have cultivated a magical place with so much care and creativity. I wish you all the best and I hope we meet again in the future :)

Thank you so, SO much for welcoming my son and me into your wonderful community! We stayed for a total of 2 and a half weeks and helped out at 3 different houses. We had a comfortable private room to ourselves in the shed, which was really quiet and relaxing since the property is so peaceful. The community land is big, with so much nature and wildlife! We absolutely loved walking along the creek, kayaking down to the big lake, fishing… The night walks were fun too as we got to discover all the nocturnal animals! We had breakfast and lunch on our own, and in the evenings we would have dinner at whichever house we had helped at that day. This was really lovely, as it gave us the opportunity to get to know different members of the community. It was also really sweet that we were taken to different places, both in and around Maleny, which gave us the chance to discover the area as well. My son, Enki (12) got along so well with Banjo (9), and they had such a wonderful time playing together. We are so grateful for this special connection! There was also a community dinner one evening, where we had the chance to meet many more people, which was really wonderful. We learnt so much during our stay about communal living and the community's beautiful way of life in connection with the land. Truly inspiring! We absolutely loved our stay and everything was so easy-going that the stay felt quite short in the end… The experiences and meaningful exchanges we shared with you will stay with us, and I am sure they will contribute greatly to my son's personal growth as well. Thank you so much for this precious experience!

Barbara, Ludovic et Ewan sont une famille chaleureuse, accueillante et pleine d'humour. Ils m'ont fait me sentir chez moi dès le premier instant. Ils ont été extrêmement disponibles et m'ont pleinement intégrée à leur vie de famille quotidienne. Le matin, je travaillais dans la forêt ou à la maison, et l'après-midi, je pouvais soit rester avec eux, soit visiter les villages voisins et Fontainebleau. Le travail était exigeant, mais tout à fait accessible à tout le monde, rien de compliqué. Ils ont pris soin de moi comme de leur propre fille, en me donnant beaucoup d'affection et en m'ouvrant les portes de leur univers fait de sitcoms françaises, de bonne cuisine et d'une vie sociale riche. Merci infiniment encore pour cette expérience que vous m'avez permis de vivre. Je la garderai précieusement dans mon cœur !

It was a pleasure hosting Soren for a week. He has a high sensibility for the pets belongings and went friend with all of them immediatly. We were cleaning the garden together and he was continuing this task all on his own whilst i was away for 2 days. Apart from working, we had interesting conversations about literature, art, politics etc. I can highly recommend Soren as a very responsable and reliable person .

I spent one month with Nadja and her wonderful family, and it was a truly positive experience. They made me feel welcome from the very first day and treated me like part of the family. I especially enjoyed spending time with the children, Lenny and Liam. They are kind, fun, and full of energy, and I created many beautiful memories with them. We shared lots of activities, laughter, and meaningful moments together. Communication was always easy and respectful, and the family was supportive, understanding, and appreciative. I am very grateful for this experience and would highly recommend staying with them to any future Workawayer. Thank you, Nadja, Alexi, Lenny, and Liam, for all the wonderful moments, your kindness, and your hospitality. I hope our paths cross again someday!

Je suis restée 2 semaines à Beni Mellal est j'ai adoré. L'école est superbe et les étudiants sont adorables et intéressés. J'ai été très bien accueilli par les gérants de l'école et le manager (qui sont adorables), ainsi que les professeurs et les volontaires. L'appartement est assez spacieux et proche de l'école. points négatifs: il y en a peu mais il fait juste très chaud à Beni Mellal en juin et l'appartement ne dispose que d'un seul ventilateur. De plus, j'ai du nettoyer un appartement sale à mon arrivée car les anciens volontaires étaient partis en laissant l'appartement dans un mauvais été. L'organisation a été revu pour mieux encadrer le départ des volontaires

I’m really grateful for the time I spent in Basil and Ananda’s house. From the beginning I felt at home. The house and my room was so comfortable, the food was amazing, and I always felt welcomed and included. Thank you for making me feel part of your daily life so naturally. During my stay I had the chance to take part in many different activities: planting trees with Indigenous communities, helping with projects, fixing muddy roads after the rain, and learning more about community recycling work. What I also appreciated a lot were all the shared moments — the beach trips, the whales, the chants, the meditations, the dances, the weading sessions, and all the community gatherings. And of course, the conversations and meals together, which I really enjoyed. Thank you for your generosity and for envolved me in your activities, and for this opportunity. I’m leaving with beautiful memories and a lot of appreciation for this exchange of experiences and ways of living.

My first workaway experience and I couldn’t have asked for a better hosts! 😊 I had the pleasure of spending one month with this wonderful family. Terese and Frederik are incredibly kind, caring, and genuine people who welcomed me not just as a Workawayer, but as a member of the family. Their warmth and hospitality made it easy to settle in and enjoy every moment of my stay. They included me in many aspects of their daily life, from family activities to social gatherings and celebrations. I had the opportunity to spend so much time with them and I am very grateful for all the conversations, shared meals, laughs, our card games and memories we created together. Frederik is very nice and outgoing with a big sense of humor 😁. Terese is very sweet and lovely. I spent most of my time with her and she is a fantastic woman. I helped her with the house and the children, but I even enjoyed the time we spent together in the kitchen. She is an amazing cook, especially when it comes to homemade bread, which is absolutely delicious 👩🏼‍🍳🍞. Their two daughters, Karla and Vega, are lively, cheerful and sweet girls 💕. I spent more time with Vega playing together and it was beautiful. And then there was the little Pilou. He is a very fun little child, who always laughs. Living with them also gave me the chance to experience a completely different rhythm of life. They live surrounded by nature, close to the sea, in a peaceful and beautiful environment that offers a complete break from the noise and fast pace of city life. For anyone used to living in a city, it is a wonderful opportunity to slow down, reconnect with nature, and enjoy a more relaxed and authentic way of life 🍃☀️. I am very grateful for this experience and I can wholeheartedly recommend staying with them to any future Workawayer.
