Description
We are a Norwegian/English family living in the beautiful area of Nesodden outside Oslo. A few years ago we moved into a house which needs both maintenance, painting, and cleaning! In addition we have 8 chickens, 3 cats, and many plans and projects. We are often quite busy, and would love to have some help with some of these!

We are often quite busy with work but we will eat some meals together, and maybe play some board games, which will give us a chance to get to know each other and learn about each others' cultures.

- Other practical jobs in the house and garden
Our plans may change and workawayers must be willing to do whatever is necessary at the time of their stay.

Hébergement
You will live in a small cabin in our garden, a few meters from our main house. There is a kitchen with a fridge and cooker, a bedroom with two beds as well as a livingroom with a sofa that can be transformed into a (double) bed, and a very simple bathroom with an incineration toilet. There is cold running water in the kitchen only (and not during winter). You can use the shower and washing machine in the main house at times that we agree upon. You will have space to yourself to enjoy your spare time.

You can walk along the coast or in the forest, and relax in quiet surroundings, or you can hop on a bus and a scenic boat trip to visit the city of Oslo. Nesodden offers the best of both countryside and city!

Eduard stayed with us for 10 days. Most of the work he helped us with was scraping, sanding and painting walls and windows, mostly outdoors, but also indoors when it was raining. Margherita looked after our house, cats, and chickens while we were away for a week. She was a fantastic help. Everything was well taken care of. When she had to deal with an unexpected leaking pipe she was proactive, positive and patient. She was easy to communicate with and very reliable. We are very grateful!

Lissy and Fabi were so nice to look after our cats, chickens, and house while we were away for four days in May. Both the cats and the chickens were very happy. I spent two weeks with Mark and Hilde in their beautiful home. They are really very nice people and the place is great. I mainly took care of the chickens and watered the plants every morning. She did a lot of weeding in the garden, including a very overgrown and quite large flowerbed, helped us look after the chickens, and also helped with some maintenance work. Laura stayed with us for 11 days. She was lovely to have around, very friendly and interesting to talk to, and we were impressed with her positive attitude. The area is quiet and peaceful, surrounded by nature and animals, with beautiful views of the fiord.
