Constanze stayed few days with my small community, which is my family. She managed to keep up very cheerful mood during her stay. She did cook a delicious meal, which reminded me my first experience with vegetarian commune in US. Constanze engaged communication with other members of community, who had lack of English language, it was very helpful. Also she shared important information from other trips she had, which encouraged me to travel too. Thanks for everything, have a great trip, Constanze👋

My time with Nabil was truly incredibly beautiful. Unfortunately, my original plans for Madeira didn’t work out, so I spontaneously looked for a Workaway. He immediately offered me a spot for the next day and really enriched my time on the island. Sadly, I wasn’t very lucky with the weather, which meant most of my tasks took place indoors—cleaning, doing the dishes, etc. - but all of that was discussed beforehand. When the weather was nice, I occasionally got to walk the sweet dogs Bella & Justice and do a bit of gardening. In the summer, there will definitely be more things to do, especially with his many renovation projects—I think that will be really fun!!! Either way, my time with Nabil was truly enriching, and I grew very fond of him, the dogs, and also Pia the goat. Nabil was a very kind and warm-hearted host, and he also made it possible for me to explore more of the island. For people who love being in nature, the property and its location are an absolute highlight on top of an already wonderful experience. Thank you very much for everything! - Valerie :)

We stayed at Rich house for 2 weeks and it is safe to say that this was one of the best weeks of our trip ! 🌞 We really had the best time at Playa El Jiote, it was amazing ! Rich is an incredible host and above all a friend, he knows a LOT of stories and jokes, you will never get bored, that’s for sure ! The meals were always a special moment, Rich is such a great cook ! The dogs Mac, Mally and Rio and the parrots Pepe, Paco and Pablo are so cute and friendly too ! And it’s without mentionning how beautiful the surroundings are 🤩 The beach and the mangrove are incredible, you will see the best sunsets of your life ! Regarding work, it was nothing too demanding. We cleaned the house and did the dishes, and walk the dogs 2times a day🤗 But really it is just a pleasure to work in such a wonderful place ! In our free time we got to enjoy the hammocs and relax🤩, go for a swim, and paddling in the mangrove !! Thank you so much again for this wonderful 2 weeks, 🌞🌿🌺 Aude and Nina

Carla and Jordis should have stayed with us for two weeks and we are so happy that they extended their staying, with their help, handwork and cheerfulness we accomplished so many things! We also had the chanches to try some amazing recipe of them and discover more about german culture, also now, a few weeks after their departure, sometimes we eat bretzel with herbs butter thinking of them ;) When left alone to work you could hear them singing together while going on, always helpful in cooking and cleaning afterwards, very flexible on how to organize the work/free time schedule, well organized and very clean in the house and very hardworking, it was a pleasure to host them!!

Die zeit auf der Finca mit Heike und Michael war wunderschön! Tolle tiere und gute und faire Aufgaben im garten, im stall und rund ums Haus. Eine Wunderschöne Umgebung und eine tolle Auszeit vom stressigen Alltag. Wir sind glücklich diese Erfahrung gemacht zu haben es war eine super wertvolle Zeit! Wir können es nur jedem empfehlen 🫶🏻🥰

La nostra esperienza con Eliana e Pedro è stata la nostra prima esperienza workaway ed è andata assolutamente oltre le nostre aspettative. I nostri host sono stati davvero ospitali e gentili. Sono stati chiari in tutte le spiegazioni dei nostri compiti e la convivenza è stata davvero piacevole. Abbiamo apprezzato la nostra cameretta indipendente con la sua splendida vista sul paese di Curití, un luogo davvero autentico per vivere e conoscere la Colombia. Abbiamo avuto l'onore di ingaggiare Eliana per una bellissima escursione trekking in un canyon della zona. Grazie ancora ai nostri host, speriamo di rivedervi!

Lili und Nao sind ein ganz liebenswertes Pärchen, das super zu uns und unseren Tieren gepasst hat. Sie waren drei Wochen bei uns und haben sich zu 100% um unsere Hunde gekümmert. Zu ihren Aufgaben gehörten auch Gartenarbeit, Hausarbeit und natürlich auch, wie immer, die Stallarbeit morgens. Sie haben alle Arbeiten Tip-top erledigt. Lili und Nao sind zwei sehr offene und ehrliche junge Menschen mit denen man auch mal Pferde stehlen kann :):) Ich kann sie jedem Host wärmstens empfehlen und wir hoffen natürlich auf ein Wiedersehen.

I had absolutely wonderful time with Branka! It seemed we connected straight away and it was a really pleasure to spend time with Branka. Of course, we communicated only in English so Branka had lots of exposure to the language she’s so keen to learn. She was an amazing host for me, we did things together at home, cooked together, went for hikes and walks locally and I found out so many interesting things about culture, traditions, Slovenian ways of life. I do admire Branka as a person too - full of life, warm hearted and her determination to learn English is nothing short of deepest respect. I feel Branka is now a friend for life and am deeply grateful for an opportunity to spend some time together!

Avril llegó con una mirada curiosa, aparentemente tímida. Pero no te dejes engañar. Sólo bastaron unos minutos para que tomara el control y me pusiera en mi lugar! Su experiencia fue de descubrimiento, de asombro, de exploración. El entorno se revelaba ante sus ojos y ella se emocionaba de cada momento vivido. Supo cómo acercarse a mi sin invadir mi espacio, se ganó el liderazgo de la manada sin imposiciones, sólo con mucho mucho amor! Gracias Avril por despertar la primavera en nuestro hogar, hoy también tu hogar. Ya te sabes el camino, vuelve cuando quieras!

I had Paula with me // us for about 11 days I think. She's absolutely wonderful. First of all , I experienced her as an honest, kind, attentive and intelligent women. We had some good conversations and laughter. Paula helped me with various tasks about preparing, collection material and finally making clay mixes for a cob bathroom . Her work attitude is great. She's super reliable with her working hours, did even more sometime as she enjoyed the work and was being very supportive. She can think herself, find solutions, is dedicated to the work, learned super fast and was self motivated and could see herself about things and steps needing to be done. Besides she prepared food for all of us, came along well with everybody being here. Paula, you're welcome at this piece of earth. Thanks for your support and your beautiful beeing.

Inga stayed with me for 10 days. It was a truly wonderful experience. She helped me learn English with great patience. Our lessons were very enjoyable. She is a wonderful teacher and a very warm, positive person. We are about the same age, so we found that we share many similar interests. Inga also helped me with daily chores around the apartment, always with a smile and a great attitude. She was attentive, reliable, fun to hang out with, and a real pleasure to host. I’m very grateful for her help and would gladly welcome her back anytime.

Dominic is a great workawayer, a great person too, diligent, kind, friendly, respectful, loving and caring. An easy person to share the house and the tasks with. A real pleasure to have spent these almost four week with

Chad and Anna were amazing Workawayer volunteers - between them their skill set was just what we needed to support our project in The Crags. Anna has green fingers and nursed our ailing veggie garden back to life and created an amazing floating island to add to our fledgling wetland project, whereas Chad was happy to problem solve, nothing was too complex for him to find a solution, whether it was water flow issues, building roads or clearing bush, sorting out motors and even making a hydroponic garden out of plumbing debris. We enjoyed their company and meals together, learnt from them - they are laid back and gentle, wonderful with the dogs and cats and contributed willingly - we were sorry when they decided to leave earlier than planned to pursue their passion but wish them every success.

Micaela y Luca fueron un maravilloso apoyo y compañía en su paso por nuestro hogar: desde pintar con mucho cuidado unas paredes, ayudarnos en la limpieza de la casa con tanto amor cómo si fuera suya, las espectaculares fotografías tomadas en las salidas que tuvimos y sobre todo las comidas deliciosas hechas con tanto cariño para compartir con tanto respeto, nunca olvidaremos y mejor, recordaremos con muuucho gusto a esta preciosa pareja y ojalá podamos visitarlos también algún día! From the moment, Kacey wrote to me, I was looking forward to meet her ! And then she arrived, like an old friend of the family. Our animals loved her and I absolutely enjoyed her company from the first moment on. Kacey is a real hard worker ! She cleaned our whole backyard from the terrible blackberry bushes, old plans and wood. Always been followed by the chickens, where Kacey also worked in the stable. She helped to clean the horse stables on the farm, where our cute Bonny Ponny lives, and Bonny loved to be brushed and cuddled by her. Also in the house, Kacey helped cleaning for the weekend, to join the free time on a cozy place. Our cat and dog loved to lay beside her on the sofa, and we shared a lot of amazing storys. Kacey has been traveled a lot, and also lots of life experiences, so that we also had conversations about "God and the World", as we use to say. I like to take her around our area, to Flensburg and a short trip to Dänmark. In the time, Kacey stayed with us, I had to take our old cat Max to the hospital, for a dangerous operation. It was sooo good, to have Kacey by my side, to support me. So, Max survived everything very well and became strong and healthy, with all the cuddles of Kacey. Also my friends were happy to go for dogwalks with her, enjoying the uncomplicated and lovely kind of Kacey. I guess, I forgot some works, she has done, because the weeks were like some days and went by much to fast !!! I hope, I will meet Kacey again. Here will always be a place for you... Thank you, for the wonderful time 🤗

Hello Clifford & Erica, We just realized that we hadn't sent our review to you yet, oops time got away from us. Here we are... We had a lovely volunteer experience with Clifford, Erica, and their team in February 2026. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel incredibly welcome. They have created a truly beautiful home, and the accommodation provided to us was private, comfortable, and had absolutely stunning views. Those sunsets were something out of this universe. Clifford and Erica are generous, knowledgeable well read individuals, as well as very easy going, which made communication and day to day life very smooth. We worked on a variety of tasks, from gardening to helping with the ponds which are especially impressive, as Clifford designed them himself. It was really interesting to be involved in maintaining such unique features of the property. The working hours felt fair, and there was a good balance between work and free time. We also shared meals together, which we really appreciated. It created a warm, home like atmosphere and gave us a chance to connect more personally. Overall, it was a positive experience, and we’re grateful for the time we spent there and everything we learned. If we are ever back in the area we will most certainly pay another visit to your little paradise. Thank you for an incredible time there. Vlad only stayed for a bit over a week as the trailer he was accommodated in was not to his liking . The following Workaway loved the trailer and was quite happy there . While he was here he helped out with a few things and was fine at that. He’s got a sense of humour and he’d be welcome back here.

This is the best place to meet friendly people from all over the world! I stayed there for 2 months and it was a memorable experience. You can talk with local people and learn about Japanese culture from them. During weekday, cafe is quite cozy and nice but every Friday night, they have party so if you like to meet other travelers and local people, I do recommend!! It’s located on the center of Tokyo so it’s very convenient to explore :) I love everyone I met and my experience at the cafe, Thank you so much Yuta-san!! :)
