  Are you looking to spend a winter season in Japan to enjoy bottomless powder without the crowds of Niseko and Hakuba ? Join us at Madarao Tangram, a hidden ski resort between Nagano and Niigata, in an area that receives the deepest snowpack of all of Japan.
  
  You'll get a Japan Powder experience ( JAPOW ) and an Winterland lifestyle!
  
  
  This is a small lodge with 4 rooms/apartments at the bottom of Tangram Madarao Ski resort ( in the middle of the beautiful mountains, 10 minutes by walk ) , also a licensed travel agency organizing ski tours, resort, free ride, back country guides organizer and small rental shop
  
  
  Main tasks
  
  - Housekeeping, keep high room cleaning standards ( 4 self apartments )
  - Drive, tour guests and customers to and from the close train station, lodge, ski resorts
  - Parking snow clearing, small property maintenance ( garbage, heaters, etc.. )
  - Occasional ski/snowboarding waxing, small repairs and deliveries
  - Potentially ski/snowboarding lessons
  - Potentially resort, free ride, back country tour guides
  
  
  The right person:
  
  - Snowboarding, Ski instructors, guides who love the snow, and want to experience Japan, Japow
  - Looking for flexible work and accommodation
  - Minimum communication in English, Japanese and Spanish a plus
  - Responsible to keep high standards on lodge/housekeeping duties such as making hotel beds, futons, cleaning, handling hotel linen, towels, etc.
  - Careful driver on snow-covered roads.
  - Able to handle early starts and the ability to operate snow-clearing machinery (or willing to learn)
  - Physically able to manually dig snow if needed
  - Willing to share the room/house and dailies with other members of the staff and keep the property attended, clean and livable
  
  
  What we offer:
  
  • Free accommodation at the main cabin (twin-sharing)
  • Seasonal lift pass for Madarao-Tangram resort
  • Vehicle available once not in use during guest tours and pick ups
  • Flexible working hours. It may vary from day to day but range from approximately 20 – 30 hours per week.
  • Lift tickets discounts to nearby ski resorts
  • Access to ski instructor and guiding job opportunities if qualified.
  • Potential to visit other ski resorts across Japan driving or guiding our guests.

  • This is NOT a client interface position. Japanese, English, or Spanish is fine.
  
  Wage is 1000 Japan Yen / Hour after taxes ( 10 ~ 20 hours / week )

  Our lodge is 2 hours communicated with Tokyo trough Iiyama station ( 30 minutes by bus from the lodge ) on bullet train shinkansen
