Tilman stayed at our farm for a week, and he is really a person I can recommend to other future hosts! He is very curious and determent to figure out of how to solve a task. He is very easy to communicate with, and a nice and polite guy to have as a guest. We really hope to see him again at the farm.

I stayed at Tone's farm for about 3 weeks and I was very glad that I got to have this experience. Tone is a kind soul and dealing with her is so easy. I stayed there with other workawayers and together we helped with several tasks such as painting, kitchen renovation, and setting up a fence. Work pace is relaxed and with flexible times. We did
… read more some hikes and visited some places nearby and we found Voss really beautiful. The farm is in the middle of the mountains and surrounded with spectacular views, going for a run or a walk there is very rewarding. We also got to meet many of Tone's family members, neighbors, and friends as she opens her home for everyone. Mohammed have stayed at our farm for about 3 weeks. We came along very well from the first day. He is hardworking and easy to be around. He did many taskes like painting, sanding, fixing a fence, cleaned around the house, made a new door, helped renovate the kitchen among several other things. We had many good conversations around the dinner table

Tone is an incredibly warm and caring person with a huge heart. She always made sure we had everything we needed and went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. We had plenty of tasks to do, but what we really appreciated was the freedom she gave us to complete them in our own way, trusting us to manage things independently. Every task felt enjoyable because of this, and we loved being able to help her as much as possible.
One of the highlights of our stay was when Tone picked us up in one of our trips and took us to an incredible waterfall on our way home, an unforgettable experience! She also shared some great recommendations for places to visit in the area, which allowed us to explore and truly enjoy Norway’s beauty. On top of that, she trusted us enough to lend us her own car, which really helped us get around and made our stay even more comfortable, so thank you for that also:)
Tone’s generosity didn’t stop there. She was always available to help us, offering support whenever we needed it and checking in to make sure we were happy and had everything we could possibly want. She truly cares about her guests, and her warmth and attention made us feel like we were part of the family.

The farm itself is a beautiful and peaceful place nestled in a valley, with stunning views and a calm atmosphere. While there was plenty of work to be done, from general maintenance to helping with various projects, it never felt overwhelming because of the supportive and welcoming environment that Tona created. We also appreciated the opportunity to learn and be part of the daily life on the farm, which gave us a real taste of rural Norwegian life.
During our free time, we were able to fully immerse ourselves in the stunning natural beauty of the area, taking peaceful hikes through the surrounding landscapes. The accommodation was both cozy and comfortable, striking the perfect balance between offering privacy and fostering a close connection with Tona. Tona's generosity truly stood out, especially when she graciously let us use her car, allowing us to explore even more of the breathtaking region.
One of our fondest memories is the countless hours we spent at the dining table, engaged in warm and meaningful conversations over coffee. And we can’t forget the delicious waffles that Tona would whip up—honestly, they were some of the best we’ve ever had. Those moments of sharing stories and laughter made our experience even more special.

… read more integrated us in her everyday life by giving us so much trust and bringing us closer to her personal lifestyle. Not only did she always make sure to bring us the food etc. we wanted from the shop, but also let us use her car whenever we wanted to - just as if we were part of the family. Still, she always made sure to give us some personal space. What we also appreciated a lot was the way she never stressed about anything and always built a calm and comfortable atmosphere at home.
Our work here was more than fair, we had so much freedom in deciding when to work and what to do and the communication between us about the tasks (and basically everything else) was so good!
We really recommend staying on this beautiful farm with all these nice people around!

You always make sure to ask if the rest of us are hungry too. I cannot say enough how grateful I am for the wonderful job you have done in the old house and with the thorough cleaning and washing of the barn. Thank you so very, very much!! Due to unforeseen changes in our family, it looks like the stay will be somewhat shorter than planned. I am incredibly sorry for that, but you are most welcome back when the situation is more stable.
