Description
I am Esther and now with my Sister Judy and her 4 years daughter manage a 7 acre farm deep in the countryside situated in Kitui county near Kyawea forest.
Teach in a nursery school because at the moment the nursery school has no teacher.
I started working on it during covid with my sister who later passed away during covid-19 to grow local vegetables to sell to the locals and this helps keep the farm running . It still has a lot to be done and I need help . It's a beautiful place nice for walks , bird watching , and very peaceful. the nearest town is like 30 mins. Want to learn about other cultures and give your expertise to the farm or the locals , teach in the neighboring primary school , just baby siting my niece or just help younger boys who use a dam which no longer can hold water as a their football pitch you are most welcome.
I would also love help with making compost, January and June harvesting bean, and maize end of February and end of June . if you have any knowledge of permaculture farming. I also would like to plant more trees. There is monkeys, squirrels and some birds who destroy the crops so we keep watch but we don't kill them. It will be a nice experience and I'm sure you will love it.
I also need help with building a septic tank and has an interest in biogas.
There will be other opportunities to get involved in the community, teaching at a local school or life skills to young men and women in the community but that depends on what others interests you have when in Kenya .
Our newest addition to the farm is 4 goats and 10 chickens.
We will provide food, clean water and accommodation either at the farm or with my parents who are both 70 years. It 's also possible to have internet access , we use a small soler panel in the farm which you can charge your phone and for light but at my parents , have electricity but sometimes we have back outs.
Please it will be lovely for you to come join us , the costs of managing the farm is so high and we don't want to close it down. We need your help please.Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre
