Description
From 2017 to 2021, I owned and managed Thessaloniki’s first vegan restaurant '. Unfortunately, I had to close it due to the impact of the pandemic.
Since March 2021, I’ve been working for an international organisation, working three days a week from home. In my spare time, I’m exploring new projects focused on vegan cooking, animal welfare, and sustainable fashion.
I’m now looking for animal lovers to care for my "pet gang" (2 dogs and 2 cats), help with some household responsibilities, and generally provide support. My pets are incredibly lovable, and our spacious, beautiful flat is just a short walk from the sea.
Thessaloniki is a vibrant, historic city full of culture, charm, and plenty of things to see and do.

Thessaloniki is a very active and young city with a huge cultural and historical heritage. I am happy to introduce you to the beauty of Thessaloniki, also you will have enough free time to discover the city and surroundings by yourself.

I’ve been living and working in Thessaloniki, Greece, for over 15 years now. I still vividly remember my first encounter with stray animals here—something that was unfamiliar to me in Germany, my country of origin.
Currently, I share my home with 2 dogs and 2 cats—each one a former stray—and I am committed to providing them with the best possible life.
From 2017 to 2021, I owned and managed Thessaloniki's first vegan restaurant. Although I had to close it due to the impact of the pandemic (and other factors), I’m now focused on new projects related to veganism, animal protection and second-hand fashion. Since March 2021, I’ve also been working full-time for an international governmental organisation, teleworking three days a week and working from the office for two.
I’m looking for someone to help with the following responsibilities:
- Sharing the house with me, my two dogs, and two cats
- Walking the dogs at least once a day
- Feeding the pets according to a set schedule
- Playing with the pets and giving them love and attention
- Watering the plants
- Keeping the house and balcony tidy
- Cooking or assisting with vegan meal prep
- Helping with new project setup
- Supporting social media and photo editing
I prefer a female animal lover, though age is not a concern. The dates are flexible, but the minimum stay is two weeks (negotiable). While a vegan or vegetarian diet is not required, it would be appreciated.

My home is located in Thessaloniki, the second biggest city of Greece. It is located 4 km from the city centre, close to the seafront and in a beautiful neighborhood.
The apartment is on the 7th floor and has a huge balcony with view to the sea. Elevator available.

I was so happy that Ana responded to our last minute workaway request. Two days later she came all the way from India to join our small family here in Greece. We loved her from the first moment. Bettina was a wonderful person to be around and live with during my stay in Thessaloniki. I felt incredibly comfortable in her home and taking care of her cute animals. I was so sad to have to leave and will be returning soon for a visit to see her and her beautiful city! I could not have had a better stay. Thank you Bettina!
