Hello, my name is Zoé and I am 23 years old. I just finished by Bachelor degree in Foreign linguistics and literatures at the university of Bologna. After a year abroad in Glasgow, Scotland, and due to bureaucratic problems, I decided to take a Gap Year and enjoy my time off to learn more about the world and how different people live within it.
I have experience in travelling and meeting new people, as you could glimpse on my mother's couchsurfing account (link), and with my school exchange experiences.
I have a little sister, and I've always had a knack of connecting with kids easily. I also love some physical work, and I'm a very creative person, both manually (arts, painting, drawing) and mentally (photography, cinema, writing). I'm also an avid reader!

I currently have a Bachelor in English Literature, which also had courses in English linguistics. Throughout my life I've had the opportunity to teach many friends news languages, and follow myself courses in German, Spanish and Japanese. I've always felt involved in giving people the opportunity to learn new languages, as I've always believed in the empowerment of being able to speak to new friends, watch movies in their original language and read books as they were written.

I know how to treat clientele (I worked in a restaurant), and how to clean. I've learned how to do basic sewing, and I can build basic furniture. I can cook, communicate, and I'm very artistic.

Due to family history, I've lived in three countries in my life (England, Italy and France) and moved between them during my childhood. Growing up I also had the opportunity of travelling by myself, starting when I was 13 years old. I've done school exchanges of 2 weeks up to 3 moths in England, Germany (a whole 3 times!) and Canada. Recently, I even completed my third year of university in Glasgow, Scotland. Because of bureaucratic problems, I can't yet continue my studies, therefore I decided to grasp the opportunity life is giving me to travel and experience new ways of life. I'm highly motivated to get out of my comfort zone, and truly question my life experiences, to be able to continue growing as a person, and learn new things I cannot grasp from a book.
