I grew up in a farm in France, then worked 15 years in hospitality abroad (Ireland, cruise ships, Vietnam, Thailand, France, Denmark, Germany) and 6 years in a bank in Berlin.

Having Xavier at our place was great! He was such a good help and supported us not only in the kitchen but wherever it was necessary. Xavier works quickly, smart and independent and it was so good to have someone who´s constantly thinking. Especially before and durning the summer festival he was such an essential help.

What a great experience for my first Workaway! I felt very welcomed by the whole family and staff, even the cats (my favorite is definitely Raja). Small village indeed, but very central, good location to explore surroundings cities (Schwabisch Hall, Schorndorf, Stuttgart, Tubingen, etc) with my car. Also some great hiking around. At first I was a bit disoriented, but then one finds his way... It's very opened, lots of nice people (and cool dogs), and the choice is yours! At first I was not sure what to think, but then I started to understand Alexander and his choice: slow down! :) It was very good to relax, stop consuming, 2 weeks to recharge my batteries...
