Hi, i'm tyra, and I'm currently a nursing student, and I've just moved to scotland.

I would definitely describe myself as an introvert and I really long for deeper connections with others, nature and all that's around me.

child care:
i'm currently an adult and pediatric nursing student and I am learning new skills every day
I currently work as a support worker for children with learning disabilities. I also just finished working at a children's summer camp as a team leader, where I would organize different activities and games for the children throughout the day. I've also had work experience in a primary school as a teaching assistant, working alongside children with learning disabilities and language barriers, I was also a mentor for a paired reading programme to help children who needed a little extra help with their reading.
Animals:
I spent about a month at a workaway animal sanctuary in italy, where I would prepare hay and food for the animals such as horses, ponies, sheeps,goats,dogs and cats. i would also clean after them and just learnt a little more about how to interact with them.
I was also a volunteer at the national animal welfare trust where I took care of the smaller animals (mainly rabbits) by cleaning their pens, changing their water and giving them their breakfast
cleaning:
I was a cleaner for a high school, a pediatric clinic, and a covid vaccination centre where I worked with a variety of cleaning products.
i also spent 3 months with the organisation 'mercy ships' as a housekeeper, where my role was to keep various decks clean
sustainability:
as the environmental leader for my school, I was tasked with introducing different policies to make the school more sustainable.
I also spent about 2 years for an organization called eco circle internation where we ran a completely youth lead fellowship in various countries focusing on environmental education. I was also a 'content creator' and I created a 'how to guide' for becoming more sustainable in every day life.
farming:
I spent about a month at a fruit and vegetable farm in italy where my role was to mainly plant, harvest and de-weed
cooking/baking:
I would class myself as a pretty decent cook/baker and after becoming vegan about 4 years ago I've learnt to be a lot more creative in the kitchen
painting/decorating:
I volunteered at a youth church in my town and my team and I repainted and redecorated the place. I've also painted a mural for a school
writing:
I used to be part of my school's newspaper team where I would help edit articles, I have also made blog posts for different environmental organisations
fundraising:
I was also part of a charity council where we would run different events such as Easter egg hunts, fun days and more to raise money for charity
driving:
I'm in the process of learning to drive and I currently have a provisional driving licence and will have a full driving license very soon :)
certifications:
I currently have a certification in Basic life support (BLS) which entails CPR and chocking. and this will be renewed every year
