I’m currently traveling during a gap year after working as a registered nurse in a hospital setting. My professional background has shaped me into someone who is dependable, calm under pressure, adaptable, and comfortable taking initiative—qualities I bring with me into any Workaway experience.

In my free time, I’m happiest outdoors. I love hiking and staying active, and I’m especially drawn to gardening and food projects. For several years I maintained a home garden, and I enjoy all parts of the process—from planting and tending to harvesting, cooking, and preserving. Working with my hands and being connected to the land is something that feels both grounding and meaningful to me.

I’m an avid reader and a lifelong learner, with a particular interest in non-fiction and classic literature. During my travels this year, I’m especially motivated to improve my language skills, particularly in Spanish and French, and I truly enjoy cultural exchange and learning through daily life with others.

Through both my profession and personal experiences, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for people. I value listening to others’ stories, understanding different perspectives, and building genuine connections.

I grew up in a rural area helping my grandparents on their small farm—mainly caring for a vegetable garden and a variety of animals—which taught me how to work independently, use a variety of tools, and take responsibility from a young age.

I’m hardworking, curious, and open-minded, and I’m always looking to learn new skills while contributing in a meaningful way. Whether helping with animals, gardening, household projects, or daily tasks, I bring a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and genuine care for the people and places I’m part of
