We have been travelling and doing workaways across Portugal, Morocco and the Balkans for nearly two years. We have loved every minute and every experience we have had so far on workaway and cant wait to continue for another year!

So far we've helped with landscaping, building, agricultural and cultural projects, hotels and have most recently been staying for some months in a hostel in Albania. We are not masters but have experience in all these fields and can't wait to learn even more in the future!

Rachel is a outgoing and outdoorsy with a laugh you can hear from miles around. She is laid-back and in her element in a hammock with a cold beer. Rachel loves getting lost in nature and the world of art. A proper sea dweller you'll often find her laying on a beach or trying some new watersport!

Equally loud, James is a gentleman and a scholar with more fun facts than you can count. Kindhearted, friendly- there is never a dull moment with this man whose interests run from politics to drum and bass! Also a lover of the outdoors, james is in his element climbing up a big rock or sailing with a cold cider in his hand!

Together, we want to explore the world in all its natural beauty and meet a host of incredible people on the way!

Both us have finished humanities degrees in History but James has just finished a masters in Conflict, Security and Development! Our skills are beyond history though, Rachel has lived a worked for a year in Spain teaching in a Primary school and James has gained lots of experience around his studies. We're very hands on, active, and ready to learn anything new!

We were only meant to stay a week at the hut but could not and did not want to leave! we cannot thank Primoz, goga, Luca and everyone we spoke to and interacted with at the hut enough! this is definitely an experience we will remember and a place we will absolutely return to in the future (if you'll have us😉) Hvala!!!

We stayed with Axel for a couple weeks in August and had an incredible experience! Axel is incredibly kind, generous and fun loving. He made us feel straight at home and part of his family. After intending to stay for only 3 weeks I ended up staying at the hostel for nearly 3 months and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about my experience!!
