Hi everyone:) I'm Nora and I come from an island on the northern norwegian coast, and have spent my childhood outside in the beautiful, cold nature. After living in the capital city for the past years, I've gotten a new appreciation for my roots and also the nature we all are a part of. One of my wishes for Workawaying is to learn from different cultures, how your traditional cooking, foraging and farming is done. I am interested in how old traditions and respectful use of natural resources can be a solution to climate change and rebuilding damaged nature. This knowledge is crucial for the future, as well as maintaining the cultural value of natural, healthy, interesting food traditions.
Secondly I always found geography and language to be fascinating. If time was unlimited and plane tickets cheap and environment friendly, I would want to see all the places on the UNESCO world heritage list and the Blue Zones. But travelling is much more than a bucket list, and I can imagine how many fantastic places I'm going to see that I haven't yet heard of.
I want to contribute to ending the humanitarian crisis our world is facing, to help where I can and learn more about the different ways to make a change. When visiting your country I will keep a humble and open mind, knowing that we all see the world from our unique point of view. Que habilidades tienes?

On my family's farm I've learned to sow, weed and care for organic vegetables and do all sorts of maintainance work such as painting, roof fixing, cutting grass etc. I can milk cows and look after cats, chickens and goats (other animals too I'm just not used to it yet hehe). I have worked as a school-/kindergarden-assistant, museum guide, bartender and as meat packer at a local butcher shop. Most recently started as a nurse assistant which I love! I see myself as very versatile and good at learning new things. I like to cook, and preserve tradition and culture through food. For celebrations I can sing, play guitar, piano, trumpet and dance swing:)

Next year I will begin my studies in either nursing or psychology, and my dream is to work for an independent humanitarian organization. But I also want my life to contain laughter, balance and peacefulness, music, dancing and good parties:)
