Hey everyone! My name is Ana Maria, I'm 24 years old and my main goal is to explore the world and to experience as many things as I can in this life :)

I consider myself to be very out-going! I love having long conversations and meeting new people and making new friends. I can create a conversation out of nowhere with pretty much anyone and find common interests :) I studied economics so I'm really good with numbers and that stuff, but at the same time I can also be pretty artistic because I love singing, dancing, literature, etc.

I speak completely fluently Spanish (mother tongue) and English (certified bilingual, C2 level). I also speak french very well, I actually perfected my language skills during my first Workaway experience in 2022 :) The next language I want to learn is Portuguese, which is why I have chosen Brazil as my next destination. I want to live with locals, speak the language everyday and get the whole cultural exchange experience :) I lived 6 weeks in Natal in 2019 but I was teaching English, so I didn't get to practice much portuguese! I'm very excited about learning much more this time!

I am a very organized, clean and respectful girl. I love staying home and watching some Netflix, having a beer or a glass of wine chatting with a friend, or also going out and exploring the city. I am very crafty and I'm a fast learner, so I can work in pretty much anything that is needed from me.

I love making friends all over the world and creating lifetime connections with complete strangers, that become your friends for life!

I absolutely love languages!! My dream job would be to be a translator hahah, for real!! I really love even the very "boring" and nerd stuff such as perfect grammar and the roots of each word and how languages evolve over time. I find it super interesting to compare languages, find the differences and similarities between them, and just analyzing them in general. I speak Spanish perfectly because it's my native tongue, but it's my English that 'm really proud about. I have been told several times by native english speakers that I speak almost like a native, I reached this point basically because I loved studying it and practicing it all the time :) I also speak french very well, absolutely love the language. Portuguese is my next goal!!

Regarding physical abilities, I am very good with my hands and can be very detailed when doing crafts or delicate things. I am also in good shape and pretty energetic so I can do pretty much every physical task. With the exception of carrying very heavy things since I'm short and thin and in general not so strong I have to admit :D I don't like cooking a lot because I hate coming up with ideas and being creative in the kitchen (it always ends badly for me), but if I'm told what to do, I can do just fine. I also can clean and do most cleaning tasks.

Regarding mental abilities, I'm really good with numbers and finance, and I'm very organized and meticulous so I can work in things involving administrative tasks. I'm also very open and chatty, and can speak multiple languages very easily. I love children, I have volunteered three times already working with children before, so I have a lot of patience and just enjoy spending time with them.

But mostly, I am very determined, I love challenges and I'm a fast-learner, so I know I can easily learn any task that is required from me!!
