hi friends

our names are maya and tamar. we met while traveling and have since become artistic and romantic partners.

our interests lie in the natural world, books, creativity and the well-being of others. between us, we can work the land, tend to children, maintain a household, facilitate workshops, host guests, tutor, organize and create artistic works.

maya holds a BFA in photography and art history and tamar a BA in english and creative writing. we are very interested in language exchange as we aspire for spanish fluency.

maya has studied 200+ hours of hatha alignment-based yoga and has been instructing yoga classes for many years. she teaches her own flow practice with emphasis on dance-like movement, strength and the embodiment of emotions.

tamar worked in feminist anti-violence organizations and remains a strong advocate for battered and raped women. she also used her experience to organize community based music programs for women and girls. she's also a filmmaker.

maya stands out as a cook and tamar as an excellent dishwasher (aspiring sous chef!)

we are visiting spain because we hope to immigrate in the near future with our lovely sweet cat child sophia franklin.
