Hi! I’m Leonardo, I’m 18 and I live near Como Lake, in the north of Italy.
I have just finished high school (I studied agriculture!) and I’m taking a short break before starting university in October. I’d love to spend September abroad, exploring new places, meeting new people and learning by doing.
What motivates me the most is personal growth, stepping out of my comfort zone, improving my English, and live unique experiences that can enrich. I used to be a scout, and I really value cooperation, respect, and outdoor life.
I’m passionate about nature, especially the mountains and lakes around where I live. I love swimming in cold rivers, walking in the woods, or just spending time in nature. Recently I’ve been really curious about surfing, it’s something I’d love to try!
I’m open-minded, calm, and always willing to help. I enjoy working with my hands, I like to cook and I like to challenge myself. I’m also respectful, enterprising and curious to learn from different lifestyles and cultures.
I’m really looking forward to meeting new people, sharing stories, and being part of a community, even for just a few weeks.

I'm really motivated to improve my English because I believe it's super important! Knowing English means you can travel the world and talk to almost anyone, no matter where they're from. Even with the basic English I know now, I've already had some great interactions with people from other countries, and I really enjoyed that. I'm excited to learn more and become even better at communicating globally!

Throughout my life, I've developed various skills. Thanks to my studies, I've honed my problem-solving and critical thinking abilities , and being a former scout taught me how to work well in a team.
I'm a flexible person, able to adapt to different life situations, and I'm willing to step out of my comfort zone for personal growth.
My family has a B&B where I learned the importance of attention to detail and customer assistance. Although I'm not a huge fan of technology, I believe it's important nowadays, and this year I even created a website for a relative's furniture company. I’ve also worked as a youth group leader during summer camps and community events, which helped me develop teamwork, responsibility, and communication skills.
I consider myself proactive, energetic, and positive. I can't wait to discover new things and share stories.

I love staying active and fit, especially by doing calisthenics at home. I enjoy diving and would love to learn some new skills, like a backflip. In winter, I adore snowboarding, but my favorite season is definitely summer. The warmth gives me an incomparable sense of freedom, and I'd love to live somewhere without winter in the future.
