Adventurous person? Yes, I probably am one. Found Workaway thanks to my friend who lived in Canada and has been active member of the WA community for several years.
Raised in a tiny village out of the capital the gardening was something I was avoiding as a kid. As an adult I realise this is what brings me happiness and joy.
In April 2024 I made my very first and just perfect experience with Workaway - I spent a month in Spain, it was kind of sabatical time for me in between office jobs. I am currently (spring 2025) again by my desk as an office worker, trying to balance my work-life balance better then I did in thepast. That is why I want to spend my summer holidays as a workawayer again! :)

Volunteer in a modernist villa in the capital during in spring and summer 2020, gardener in a flower farm from July to Nov 2021, part time gardener in perenial breeding farm from July to Oct 2021.
Raised in a small village south of capital, which means I know how to weed, how to prepare a bed for seedlings and how to tie a bouquet. When the fruit is ready to be harvested. I know how to cut the grass, how to get hay from grass. I am not afraid of animals nor shovel or rain :)

I like to express myself in form of paper collages. That is my "comfort food for soul" :) I love talking about art and movies. I am deeply interested in different cultures, that is why I have been working in international trade environment for past 15 years.

My 3weeks stay at Gunvor, Anders and Bella was BEYOND my wildest expectations. In terms of the environment (the garden was a pure paradise for someone who came for a real gardening) and also cultural exchange (Swedish household in the woods, full of positive energy and open minds). Having Lenka with us for some weeks was truly amazing.
She took care of our large garden in the best way possible. She knew what needed to be done without me saying anything.
She also helped me repot plants and we exchanged experiences about growing.
As a host who likes growing and gardening, I can really recommend Lenka, she is a great asset.

It has been almost a month since I came back from Yael&Henk. I couldn't have asked for a better Workaway host. I came there for gardening and cultural experience, I got much more. I loved the discussions we had on various topics, the food we shared together. I also loved I had my own privacy and was not to push to socialize if I didn't want.

I do not know who was happiest with Lenka, the garden or I . We both really enjoyed having Lenka at our place.
The knowledge Lenka have about gardening is amazing.
Lenka is good person for a good tolk on many subjects.. and a good laugh.
I do hope Lenka will come back one day.. she more then welcome.
The garden mis her already.
