Hello!
We are Judith, Julius and our kid Janosch (1.5 years) and we are looking for a nice place with lovely people. We all are very open people and like to get to know new things and new people. After we (Judith & Julius) studied urban planning for the last 5 years, we would really like to do something practical with our hands again. We are very interested in sustainable topics such as permaculture, sustainable energy supply, sustainable building methods, … and like being out in the fresh air, so we could easily imagine helping on a farm somewhere or helping with some light construction work.
I (Judith) used to be a member of the Scouts and definitely have some outdoor skills and a love of nature from that time. In general, I'm up for a lot of adventures, very flexible (as far as it is compatible with looking after Janosch) and open minded. I am an energetic and motivated person, enjoy entertaining and always happy to get new perspectives. I like to go for walks, read or play with Janosch - for instance hide and seek or dance party.
I (Julius) was not a member of the Scouts but have already done a voluntary year with a construction company focussed on restoring old buildings with a focus on sustainability, where I worked with a bunch of different trades and like to think that I retained some of those skills. I am interested in history (of the places where I am and the people I am with). I also really like cooking and would love to get new inspirations from new ways of cooking and preparing food.
I (Janosch) am an easy-going child who happily runs around and explores the world. I enjoy looking at books or playing with my Matchboxcar and trains and love caring for animals and plants alike. In the last place where we stayed I particularly liked the goats. It would be nice to find a place where there are other children I can play with, but it's not absolutely necessary.
In principle, we imagine the work in such a way that we can either do it together with Janosch, for example working in the garden while he explores the area; or we take turns with working and looking after him.
Judith and Janosch already have had some great experiences with workaway in Austria and Italy. We are very open to just giving it a go and would follow the hosts ideas. After trying it out, we could see what works with the child and what doesn't. Open and honest communication in this regard and in general is very important to us.
We would be very happy to hear from you and get to know you 😊Intereses

Together, we also once worked on an asparagus farm (three weeks) and helped out with a shepherd (also three weeks).
Since I (Judith) helped a lot in the vegetable garden of my grandparents, I can offer help in this field. I also have a lot of experience working with children. On the one hand because I have one myself, on the other hand because I worked as an au pair and led various children's groups in my youth. I also have catering experience, having worked for some time as a dishwasher in a hotel and a restaurant and as a server in a café. I also helped out at the bar in a hostel for a month. Otherwise, I can also offer to teach German, which I did voluntarily for a year.
I (Julius) worked with a construction company for a year with various trades - eg carpentry, joinery, brick-laying, painting - so know some basics of construction work. Additionally, I worked with a janitor/groundskeeper for a bit so picked up some skill there as well. I'm also quite good with computers (although not so much on the programming side), do some various creative works both digitally and analog. I'm not sure how I could apply it but I have worked as a tour guide for a few years, so I know how to speak well in front of groups (and could tell you a bunch about the Bauhaus design school if you want).
I (Janosch) am very proficient with the watering can. I have practiced petting cats a lot and have experience in collecting (and eating) eggs.
Judiths and Janoschs tasks for other other workaway hosts included:
- planting and preparing fields
- building Benjes-hedges
- building simple wooden structures
- light forestry work and making fire wood
- food preservation and preparation
- paint workEdad

We (Judith & Janosch) have already travelled on our own since January. I (Julius) am joining the two of them in April and we'll travel south to Greece via Italy.
We all really like to play board games, Judiths favourite is the fastpaced Dobble, Julius is very into strategy/building games and Janosch almost knows how to play Memory :)Más información

They were here with us a little over two weeks and the time flew by.
Although Judith had a year-and-a-half child to care for, she was an invaluable help and Janosch was always with us in the garden and orchard. A free and happy child, we loved… read more
I definitely suggest to visit the place and meet the wonderful and inspiring people that live there :)
Here is a small list of things I liked:
- there was cake almost every day haha
- very good food in general (it was cool to cook on the fire stove)
- making salad out of everything
- interesting to see how they were able to store fresh… read more
