I do quality over quantity - meaning, things might take longer than you expect, but as long as it has my name to it, I have high standards, don't ask me to do less. I like things to be tidy and clean, clear communication, and respect for each individual.

I’m Eva, a SMILE-preneur (mindset and personal growth is high on my agenda), digital nomad, and naturally positive, solution-oriented person who truly enjoys contributing, learning, and growing through meaningful experiences. I'm a mother of two (grown-ups), and have an 11-year old grandson with authism (they live in Norway).

I have a wide variety of life experiences - from a qualified nurse (in Norway), to sales manager in different positions, to co-building a house from scratch, and renovating a flat (and more down that line), to gardening, small DIY projects, event planning, waitrassing, managing pubs and restaurants, etc. Also willing to do work without being fully skilled sometimes.

I also bring strong skills in social media, computer work, and sales/marketing, including being trained in AI skills without loosing ones self identity and authenticity. Throughout 2025 I was in an in-house carer position for an elderly couple, so I'm open to other long term options (not necessarily that long).

I’m flexible when it comes to tasks and happy to step in where needed. I’m also experienced with both dogs and cats, and genuinely enjoy being around animals.

At this stage of my life, I’m seeking new experiences, new environments, and opportunities to connect with inspiring people. I love being part of something meaningful - helping others build their dreams and vision while continuing to expand my own.

I bring good energy, reliability, and a genuine desire to contribute in a positive way wherever I go.

I am a smoker, but I never smoke indoors or in vehicles, or next to children.
I also have a male kitten called Asha (born aprox 12 May 2026) , healthy, adventures, litter trained, used to other people and animals.

Eva estuvo un mes en casa y la verdad es que fue una estancia Excelente. Es una persona muy trabajadora, siempre dispuesta y responsable con las tareas. I spent one month staying with Álvaro after we mutually agreed to extend my original stay by one week, as there were still projects to complete.

Álvaro is a calm, kind and laid-back host who was very flexible with both the work schedule and my free time. He was away quite a bit during my stay, so I often worked independently, which suited the … read more type of work I was doing. For a couple of weeks there was another Workawayer staying there as well, and we connected really well, making the experience more enjoyable. I also had the opportunity to meet a few of Álvaro's friends when they visited the house, and they were all very friendly and welcoming.

The work was varied and included light DIY, pruning trees and clearing the drive-in/parking area, watering plants, gardening and weeding, cleaning, organising the workshop and office, as well as sharing ideas for social media and marketing.

I had a large private bedroom with my own bathtub/shower and toilet, which gave me plenty of personal space - including enough room for my kitten, Asha, to play comfortably. As a digital nomad, I also really appreciated the excellent Starlink internet connection, which was fast and reliable throughout my stay. The nearest town is about a 20-minute walk away, and Álvaro kindly offered to lend me one of his bicycles whenever I wanted to go there, which I appreciated. He also offered to drive me or pick me up when needed. In addition to that he offered his knowledge about the area, and came up with suggestions on what to do and where to go.

There was no hot water during my stay, and although fans were available, there was no air conditioning. If you're planning to visit during the hottest part of the Spanish summer, it's worth being prepared for the heat, as temperatures can be quite intense, and the airflow through the house can be minimal at times.

Álvaro completed his first Ironman competition while I was there, which was an impressive achievement. He is also a talented and creative artist, and I genuinely believe he has the potential to achieve great success with his artwork.

Overall, this Workaway would suit someone who enjoys working independently, who's got initiative and don't need directions all the time, values flexibility, needs a reliable internet connection, and is comfortable with a quieter environment. Thank you, Álvaro, for hosting me, it has truly been an experience, and I wish you every success with your future projects and your artwork.

Hard working Eva! Super person, no challenge is too much for her. Not only does she come with a huge amount of DIY knowledge but also technologically minded too!

Aside from work, Eva fit in easily into our project and team. Fun, kind person and very proactive!

This was my very first Workaway experience, and what was initially planned as a two-week stay turned into five weeks - which probably says a lot about how much I enjoyed being there.

And then there's Donna, the sweetest dog ever - although I strongly suspect she's actually the one in charge of everything!

This kite place is perfectly located right on the beachfront, making it an ideal place for surfers and kiters. The kite house has internet access, and hosts regularly organize social events, usually about once a week, were they treated staff, Workawayers and frinds to BBQs and paellas, which were great opportunities to connect with everyone. I was even offered free surf lessons, which was a lovely bonus, although surfing isn't really my thing...

I stayed in the staff house, about a 10-minute walk from the Kite House. It has six private rooms (for staff) and one dorm room with five beds for Workawayers. The house includes shared bathrooms, a kitchen, living room with fireplace, washing machine, portable drying lines, and a large outdoor area with an outdoor kitchen and BBQ. There is no internet or air conditioning in the staff house, but portable fans are provided in every room. The beach is only a short walk away, and the area is generally quiet, becoming livelier during the summer season.

The location is approximately 25 minutes by car from Denia. There is a bus service every two hours from morning until early evening, with more frequent service during the summer months. Within walking distance you'll find two small supermarkets, a tobacco shop, and a handful of restaurants that remain open year-round.

My tasks were varied and interesting. I helped clean and organize the staff house, including bedrooms, bedding, kitchenware, and communal areas. I co-created house rules, helped shape and finish the outdoor kitchen counter using epoxy, fitted a hob, painted and sanded/varnished various projects, and assisted with several DIY projects both in the staff house and at their summer restaurant. The staff house is an ongoing project, so there were always opportunities to contribute and learn new skills.

One of the biggest highlights was the people. I met some truly amazing, respectful individuals from different parts of the world, and everyone got along incredibly well. I made friendships that I believe will last a lifetime.

Overall, this was a fantastic first Workaway experience. I learned a lot, contributed to meaningful projects, met wonderful people, and created memories I'll always be grateful for. Thank you to everyone at Kite project for making my first Workaway adventure such a positive one.
