I'm an 19 year old Swiss-American having just graduated from high school in Singapore and decided to take a gap year. Planning on visiting Nepal as well as Kenya and overall really excited for the future to see where it takes me. I speak English fluently and speak a fairly high level of German with an understanding of Swiss-German, too. Languages, cultures and history are all very interesting to me and a large reason as to why I wanted to take a gap year, wanting to learn more about them. Beyond that just being able to help others out and enjoy whatever place I end up as is the goal in all honesty.

In university I am planning on going into finance, but I am still interested in so many other things beyond that. I love hiking, having been surrounded by alps as well as skiing. But beyond that learning more about a variety of topics and playing football are hobbies of mine as well. I love travelling as well, and having parents who love to travel just as much, I've been privileged to visit dozens of countries, living in 3 through the years. I hope to keep this travellers side of my intact throughout my life as well. The environment in which I'm in never bothers me as long as there is joy to be had.

I have tried to learn a number of languages in the past such as Russian and French, but failed to find time in my later years of schooling. I received recently a certification for German at C1 level fluency and have spoken English as a native language since I was a child.

I cook quite often and have become comfortable in that regard so I could be useful in that sense. I also just graduated from schooling so I am up to date on a lot of the curriculum having scored highly. I done woodworking projects before, helping create structures (although with guidance) for houses. Built my own PC and have an understanding of how to run as well as use them.

I enjoy listening to music and find it interesting to hear music from other cultures. I'm not to particular about it as I enjoy most forms of music. I played football (soccer) in school as well as recreationally for a number of years, something that I still enjoy doing. I also do weightlifting occasionally for about 6 months now.
