Hello lovely people!
We are Woody & Emanuela and our toddler Aurora (2023) and baby Koko (2025), all living in the small village of Martvili on the countryside Georgia. In 2018 we bought an old house with a big garden on the Georgian countryside, renovated it with a lot of love and opened a boutique hostel.

Over the past years we hosted hundreds of Workawayers. They helped us with renovations, doing daily household chores, gardening and, of course, creating life in the hostel. It has been an amazing to experience how different personalities can become part of our little community and family and genuinely contribute to our project.

Now we are searching for interesting projects to give back some of the love we received over the years. We are slowly looking to move out of Georgia and set our minds on Spain. So we we are looking to explore beautiful places around Spain, spend time with other like-minded people and look for a place/community that feels like home. -

Que habilidades tienes?
What can we help with?
Over the years we gained a very broad range of skills. We love volunteering ourselves and hope to give you the same feeling of care and support we got from our volunteers.
As a couple we're very complimentary. Emanuela has the vision and creativity, Woody the energy and can-do mentality. In our hostel we've gotten pretty good at combining work and small kids — depending on the type of work of course.
Since we've been through the whole process of designing, building, maintaining, promoting and managing a hostel, we've gathered a lot of skills and experience to contribute to your project. We're efficient workers and take pride in doing a good job and finishing the work that we start. You can check our instagram above to see what we do
PERMACULTURE – Our shared family hobby! Over the last years we built a sizable veggie garden with a greenhouse and raised beds. We grow a wide variety of veggies, edible flower, greens, fruits etc following permaculture methods. This is our happy time working and planting together with our kids. Woody is the compost hobbyist and Aurora the worm enthusiast.
COOKING – Both highly skilled in cooking vegetarian meals for big groups. Garden fruit jams, pickling, homemade lemonades, ketchups, etc
CLEANING – Eye for detail and professional cleaning standards.
ONLINE BUSINESS PROMOTION (Emanuela) – Professional photographer and social media content creation to promote your hostel
HOSTEL MANAGEMENT - Managing our crew and group of volunteers, dealing with interpersonal conflict, making schedules, arranging tasks, supervising etc
LANDSCAPING – Designing a garden into distinct spaces using flower beds, paths, pruning trees & bushes etc
CONSTRUCTION WORK (Woody) – Stick welding (chairs and benches), woodwork (floors, kitchen bench and doors), electricity (laying & fuse box), plumbing (showers, pipes, toilets, pump installation), pouring concrete, bricklaying, children playground. Since the kids I've done less handy work some skills are a bit rusty.
DESIGN & ARTS (Emanuela) – Ema’s soul mission on this earth is to create beauty. She’s the main interior designer of our hostel, working with styles and colors. She's been working with ceramics, macramé, mosaics, murals, sewing, or just any material she can get her hands on
KIDS (Woody) - We are traveling with our two kids, needless to say we deeply value spending quality time with kids. Especially Woody loves playing, teaching, exploring with the little ones, enjoying to navigate the different needs, moods and conflicts between them. If there’s a baby around, he’ll have him/her in his hands in no time -

Algo más...
We are travelling with our 2 kids. Aurora very social and pretty easy-going, but it would be nice if there would be other similar-aged kids around to play with. Koko is starting to walk and talk a bit.
In our hostel we manage to do a lot of jobs with here around, either with her "helping" or just doing her thing, like cleaning, cooking, sewing, gardening etc — most things except for certain dirty or power tools jobs.
Of course family life is not always predictable, so we do need a bit of flexibility scheduling wise. We're very responsible people nonetheless, so we'll make it happen :) -
