Hi! 😊
My name is Veronika, I’m from Hungary, and I’m excited to start a new chapter through Workaway.
I have more experience working as an event organizer, but before that I studied health promotion, nutrition science and therapic massage. My diploma project was focused on sustainability, which is still an important topic for me.
I’ve travelled alone a lot, which helped me become open-minded, adaptable and curious. I’ve always been the type who loves trying new things, so I worked in an eco-farm, bartender and server at festivals and cruise, in retail, and a few other roles in between. I enjoy learning new skills, meeting new people, and stepping out of my comfort zone.
After these many of experiences I already know that the fields closest to me are events, hospitality and anything related to health and wellbeing.
Right now, I’m looking for a way to step out of my usual routine back home and explore a new direction in life — one where health and a more balanced lifestyle play a much bigger role. This is why I want to gain experience through Workaway: to learn, to grow, and hopefully to discover what my next chapter should look like.
I’m positive, reliable, friendly, and always ready to help. I love being around nature, creating a welcoming atmosphere, and working with others. I’m also happy to help with cooking, cleaning, gardening, or anything that needs an extra pair of hands.
Looking forward to meeting new people and becoming part of a meaningful project somewhere, firstly in Europe!

I studied German and English in school, and later I spent time in Spain as an exchange student, where all my classes were in Spanish. In my everyday life I mostly use Hungarian, and while traveling I mainly speak English. I can also manage basic conversations in Spanish, and I’ve picked up some Italian during my trips. Wherever I end up, I’m always happy and motivated to learn the local language.
