I'm a 50 year old English touring cyclists and have been travelling for the last 8 months.

So far I've cycled through 17 countries, cycled up to Finland just to meet up with a friend and cycled with him more or less back the way I came to the Kaliningrad border in Poland.

After this I changed route headed through the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Serbia, Northern Macedonia, Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Moldova and am now in Fethiey Turkey helping looking after 6 dogs and help out my in any way i can.
After this, the plan for now is to head along the coast and to Cyprus for the coldest winter months although I've not worked out the rest yet.

On my last tours I've used workaday to help look after 10 stray dogs, 12 cats, a horse, a mule and has agreat friend called Marco a Donkey on a small island called Andros in Greece In Turkey I helped on in a dog sanctuary helping look after 100 stray dogs. I have also helped out hand picking olives and helping look after the olive trees.

I'm willing to do anything, I have a love of animals and deeply miss having a dog in my life, I love gardening, cooking music and life in general.

I'm not a vegetarian nor vegan however all of the workaday host I've stayed with are vegans and vegetarians with the last 2 hosts I did most of the cooking and have learnt loads about it.

I do smoke but will always follow house rules.

So what more can I say, I'm young at heart, cycle touring makes me happy, moving on from place to home is where I put my tent, some days I stay for a while. I follow the sun and be at one with the landscape around. So if you have a dream begin it for there is no turning back.

Hi all,
I'm cycling around the world sort of as I want to complete all 44 countries in Europe, on my last 2 year tour I did 22 European countries. I only used workaway once in Greece at an animal scanty on a tiny beautiful island called Andros to help look after 24 dogs, tons of cats, a horse, mule and has a very special friendship with a Donkey called Marco. I discovered I really love donkeys as they are special people.
I have a love of life and traveling solo I find sometimes I need some timeout to reconnect to people.
As you can probably tell I have a love of animals in fact I prefer animals to people as they do not judge you and offer unconditional love yet they can teach a person a whole lot too.
I also love gardening when I'm at home I grow everything with my friend and am completely organic.
I'm now with another workaway host in Turgutlu so far I've spent 5 days hand picking olives and taking them to make olive oil and will be helping out to clean the olive trees and getting them ready for the winter.
