Hi, we are husband and wife Zdenek and Sarka. We come from Czech Republic. We are bought 53 years old. All our life we worked, we raised two children and now is the time for change.
We decided to find out, how the people live in foreign countries. Our female dog GREYSI accompanies us on our travels.
Between Workaway´s brought us our daughter with her friend, when she introduced us with her Swedish host during her first stay. We catch each other eyes. We agreed we will take care about their farm during their six-month absence. Sweden was for more one of the first destinations we were very interested in. This was our the first experience with House sitting. We took care of family house and small farm with vast plots of land. Four horses, geese, ducks, turkeys, chickens, pigeons and a pair of peacocks, including a pet cat man have become our animal friends. Living with so many different animals was very fun, fulfilling and mentally rewarding. We always used to have only garden, cat and dog at home. In addition to discovering beautiful places in the vicinity, we made friends with people living around the farm and got to know several interesting destinies.
Staying in one place for several months showed us that it is really the best way to get to know the life of the locals, a specific landscape and connect with the energy of the place. Such a stay will allow a person to change his perspective of seeing life, make up his beliefs and habits, a person naturally gets to know himself. The trust of originally strangers, with which they entrust you with the place where they live, is also very enriching and strengthening.
We both love nature, being in the fresh air and various outdoor activities. However, we also like to work on house maintenance, we can clean and cook. We like to create new things.

We have lived together in the village in a house with a garden for 30 years. We therefore have extensive experience in house and garden maintenance.
Sarka is a trained gardener and this activity is also her great hobby, including her knowledge of nature. At the same time, she has many years of experience working in a museum, including creating exhibitions and creating specialist programs for visitors. She is a cheerful, creative person, she likes to paint, sing and spend time in nature, taking care of the house and animals.
Zdenek has experience in cutting timber on a bandsaw and working with wood in general. He also did various jobs in the forest. He has been working in the field of buying and selling machines for many years. He travels around Europe and is an experienced active driver. Driving is his hobby. He is also not afraid of driving a tractor and other machines. He is well versed in the issue of wood processing machines. He is a calm and prudent person.
We are both trained engineers at an agricultural university.

We like movement in general, hiking, traveling, camping, cross-country skiing, culture, history and monuments, art galleries. We like animals.
We prefer living in harmony with nature, not creating unnecessary waste. We only buy what we absolutely need. We are interested in self-sufficiency and the possibility of producing our own food.
