G’day! We’re Mitch (26) & Nikki (23) and we’re from the land down under 🐨🦘
We’ve just arrived to Mexico after a long year of working hard to stay here indefinitely, and now we’re ready to do the kind of work that feeds the soul, connects us to new wonderful humans (all other creatures too), and opens up new experiences.
As for us as individuals…

Mitch: what motivates me and brings me happiness is…
- Spending time with animals and being out in nature.
-Being with the ocean in any form (would love to learn to dive, and it’s my dream to live on a sailboat after our travels in the Americas)
- Anything that gets me using my hands like building, repairing/up-cycling and gardening. I built out my van from scratch using only what I found at the tip shop (which you can see part of in one of the photos).
- Cooking delicious meals, especially to share with others.
- Adventuring through new lands, exploring what’s around the corner.
- Problem solving and keeping my mind stimulated.
- Utilising my skills as a plumber.
- Juggling, dancing, and music! I love to DJ and get people up and dancing.
- Playing sports and keeping fit.
- Learning and engaging in new activities.

Nikki: what motivates me and brings me happiness is…
- Spreading love like butter! To friends, strangers, and all critters.
- Music! I love to sing, and I play guitar/ukulele (but unfortunately had to leave the instruments at home). I love listening to melodies that wisp me away and rhythms that get me up and dancing!
- Playing in the kitchen cooking flavour-packed foods with whatever I can find.
- Learning about ontology, psychology, wellbeing, quantum physics, and how these all tie into one another to create a harmonious world.
- Anything creative!
- Being active, climbing trees, playing sports, hiking, exploring. Would love to spend more time in the ocean too.
- New experiences. Ambiguous, but frank.

Mitch:
I’m a fully qualified plumber and have experience in carpentry, roofing, and electrical.

Nikki & I recently studied a short permaculture course and would love to continue the learning through hands-on experience.

I’ve volunteered in schools teaching sporting programs to children.
I’ve taken care of others’ animals, adhering to specific needs, behaviours and schedules.

My biggest skill, however, is my general resourcefulness; to assess a problem and figure out a solution with what is available.

Nikki:
I’ve been in the hospitality industry since forever, so connecting with people and building relationships is my strong point.

I come from an arty, creative family, so I’ve got experience with many mediums (drawing, painting, ceramics, etc.). Can definitely help with creative projects!

I’ve volunteered with the RSPCA (Aus) where my role was to spend quality time with dogs (sometimes quite traumatised ones) and ensure their feeding/exercise schedule was on track.

As a seasoned traveller, I’ve found myself in all sorts of jobs like being a fisher(wo)man, a tree-graphter, a baby-sitter, and a farm-hand. I don’t think there’s a job that I wouldn’t do, and I’ll pick anything up quickly.
