want to explore schwarzwald!

Descripción

Travelling to, then around Schwarzwald for June/july/august. Looking to stay with like minded families in areas with good, child friendly communities...

hello!

We are a small happy open minded family, consisting of me my partner a 4 year old inquisitive boy, an 1 year old happy little girl and our beautiful dog.

We have worked and travelled together to many different countries, before and with the kids!
The screenshots are of reviews from hosts, now friends, on helpx. We made the jump to workaway!

We are looking for an alternative from the mainstream way of bringing up our children.
We would love to learn from other families who have decided to take a different path. Closer to Family, nature and community rather than consumerism and screen time!

I am a carpenter and have been in the building trade for almost 20 years. I have experience with every aspect of carpentry, from loft conversions to bespoke joinery. I have worked in my trade in many different countries. I have had plenty of experience, and have good knowledge of most other building trades too. (I do not work with or around asbestos or any other hazardous material.)

I can operate diggers, front loaders and most other farm machinery.

I have basic mechanical knowledge, I am interested in learning much more, I am also keen to learn more about solar power, hydro power an bio building.
I can weld too but still need to learn the tricks of the trade!

Viv has worked for many years in hospitality form hotels to cocktail bars all over the world!
Aswel as this she has completed farm work planting and livestock, amazing with horses, great with kids, has used most power tools, good with a paintbrush, great with hand crafts, good experience with gardening and has driven multiple vehicles and machinery big and small.

We both have full driving licences.

We would love to learn more about growing food, the seasons soil and organics of it all. Also keen to learn more about bee keeping.

We want to widen our knowledge of herbal/natural remedies and medicines!

We're happy to go anywhere in the EU, we are currently based in central Germany.

We love the mountains and the sea!

We have both worked many ski seasons in various resorts. I also skateboard, mtb, climb and Viv loves to hike, especially with our dog, I do too! We love being active and outdoors.

We can be almost completely self sufficient as we have a caravan and a car... however in winter it wouldnt be ideal. If we bring it we would only need a space, electric, water. Otherwise were happy to stay with you too...
