Howdy! I'm Micah, an online college student from Virginia who loves to explore the western US accompanied by my old Ford Focus and my guitar. Laura's an openminded adventurer from Pennsylvania who I met doing seasonal work in Alaska. We love meeting people and learning about culture and history, exploring nature, and eating lots of food. During the past year, we've traveled together extensively, either by living out of my car or doing Workaways/seasonal gigs. Laura and I have made some incredible memories together, from the rainy beaches of Alaska to the ruthless Mojave Desert. We're excited for the next phase of our roadtrip and for all the bizarre pictures and late nights and sketchy gas stations that await.

I've worked on a beef cattle farm, done general contracting, worked in food service, and done various other types of hands-on work. I have mechanical skills, problem solving skills, and communication skills. I can lift heavy objects and then put down said heavy objects.

I love readings books. Philosophy, classic literature, history, you name it. I'm always up for recommendations too. I also play guitar and enjoy listening to and playing music, especially folk, rock, and some classical.

Micah was such a great help on the trails, lifting heavy things (and putting them down again) He really did great as a roommate to the 4 baby chicks. He read a ton of books and it was fun to visit about them. He worked hard and efficiently, coming from a rural upbringing, he was a joy to work with!

I stayed with Peg for two weeks, and it was a blast. I loved living off-grid and enjoyed the peace and the (mostly) quiet nights.
