Hi, we are Min and Rusi! We are two uni friends who both love traveling :) We don't usually travel together with Workaway--we use this joint account to reach out respectively as solo workawayers.

✨✨Message from Rusi✨✨

I'm a 26-year-old communications professional. I studied public relations in the US then film studies in the UK. My grew up in Shenzhen, China, a seaside city neighbouring Hong Kong, but I consider Boston my second home. I speak English, Chinese, Japanese (JLPT N2) and I'm currently learning Dutch and French.

Throughout my undergraduate years, I volunteered at our school's branch of China Care Fund, where I led a teaching team to deliver weekly, free Chinese Language & Culture classes to Asian children adopted by American families in the greater Boston area. I understand the importance of community, communication and connections across cultures.

I'm a huge nerd about baking and films :) I have a YouTube channel where you can check out my bakes (https://www.youtube.com/@BakaBakes). I'm good at cooking, household tasks, and dare I say I'm a good conversationist.

First of all, my friend Rusi is AMAZING and I promise you, no mater your background, your language or your experience, you will love her if you are lucky enough to spend time with her. She is the kindest, smartest, the most hard working friend in my life. I am not gonna be suprised if she gets Nobel prize in the future. Then below is my intro. :D

My name is Min and I am 2-345 years old. I just graduated studying Computer Science from Boston. I am from Wuhan, China, which is a very hot city with great food. I speak Chinese and English. I am learning sign language in Chinese/English && Japanese(beginner).

I had two helpX experiences and just switched to Workaway. One was working in a hostel in Japan near the mountains, where I helped with chores and management. I love it there as I met lots of the nicest people there, and mountains around were chill and great.
Second was a family lived in mountain in VT, where I helped with gardening and house renovation. The host made the best salad from the garden.

I love hiking, cooking, and reading manga. I really like to learn cooking.

I am clean and have a high standard of hygiene. I don't do drugs/smoke. Feel free to let me know if you have any requirements, as I hope we can both feel comfortable with each other. I find video chat is helpful for us to know each other a bit.

【Travel recommendation for China】(Maybe you need it one day;)
***云南(Yunnan)***is a MUST visit if you have the chance. They have the most beautiful flowers and thousands kinds of mushrooms that taste better than meat. If you are into nature, they have 雨崩(Yubeng). If you are also into culture then you definitely don't wanna miss this place. Text me if you want other rec. ;)
