Hello, my name is Julia and I love doing all sorts of crafts. Be it sewing, knitting, crocheting, cooking or doing little diy projects, I'm always here for it.
I love also learning languages and being able to speak them in their country of origin, as I think it is such a different and more raw way to get to know people and their culture.
Nature is very important to me, I very much enjoy exploring it and simply being present in my surroundings!

I'm a language person and have studied various languages at school and am leaning more now at university still. I simply love connecting to people in their native language, because it's a more raw way to get to know them and their culture!

I'm a language person and have studied various languages at school (French, Englisch and Spanisch) as well as now at university (Russian, Czech and Norwegian). My first mother tongue is German, or rather Swiss-German, as I am from Zurich and my second mother tongue is Czech, because my mum is Czech. Which is why, I'd love to do a language exchange and teach you one of the languages I can speak. I simply love connecting to people in their mother tongue, because it's a more raw way to get to know them and their culture!
Other than learning languages, I love creating things with my own hands. I did a 3-month-long sewing intership in 2022, where I sewed lots of different things (from bucket hats, to small bags out of jeans, to baby hoodies or baby pants etc.) out of clothing donations we got. I love sewing to adjust my own clothing or simply fix holes, because I believe that we don't need to buy new things all the time and should instead fix them or create something new out of something old. Next to sewing I've also started to crochet and knit, but I'm still learning a lot.
I'm very good with doing manual things and although I don't really have much experience in carpentry, I would love to learn new things in that area, as I love learning new skills in any area of life. :)

I like playing the piano and generally listening to music is very important to me. Music can convey so many emotions and feelings, sometimes it can completely change your mood or attitude towards something, which I think is amazing.
I also love dancing, kickboxing and doing yoga. All very different from each other, yet they all focus on body and mind: in dancing you can loose yourself in the music, in the feeling, how your body feels during different movements, kickboxing is very energizing and can help with confidence as well as getting a feeling for your body and yoga is for the mind as it is for the body; a way to relax, a way to connect.
Another thing I really enjoy doing, is reading. From fantasy, to self-help books, reading can give so much and really is great for the mind.
