Hey! I'm Jay, a 21 year old living in San Diego. I love exploring, meeting and connecting with people, and going on adventures. I definitely am a bit of an adrenaline junkie at times but I also love sitting around, sharing a meal, sharing stories, and just having a nice time. Travel is always super exciting for me because I love getting out of my comfort zone and immersing myself in someone else's culture, where I can learn from them, experience some amazing things, and always leave it better than I found it.

The main reasons for living in Latin America for a few months is to better my Spanish. Eventually, I will be working as a Physical Therapist in San Diego, so being fluent in Spanish will give me the ability to connect to and treat a wider variety of people. My Spanish is already pretty good but I definitely want to make that next step. I would also be happy to help teach English if people are interested in that.

I have worked and volunteered in a very wide variety of things, so I am able to adapt to various tasks. I have 4+ years of restaurant experience, 3+ years working in Physical Therapy settings, and over a year of experience being a swim instructor for kids. I have also done tons of side jobs, from mowing lawns, to moving mulch, to painting murals, to playing guitar gigs, I am happy to adapt to everything, and that is definitely one of my big strengths. Anytime something was broken around the house, me and my dad would be the ones to fix it. We worked together to build a new room for my brother, build a new deck out back, fix the toilets when they get funny, and many more things. I am also very active, and really into all sports, especially surfing and soccer, so I would love to help out with anything involving these.

I am really a pretty laid-back guy that is always happy to do everything, whether it's something that I have been doing for years, like surfing or playing guitar, or if it is something new like learning a new game, or a new recipe.
