My husband Neal (www.nealpetersen.com) and I are interested in certain workaway programs. We have a home and unique property in the mountains of the Dominican Republic and are workaway hosts. However, we would like to experience being workaways! We enjoy being in nature and not afraid of hard work. Neal has established a very impressive garden here on our property and understands permaculture and biodiversity. We built a 2 bedroom/kitchen/ bathroom earthen (cob) cottage on our property that we rent on Airbnb. We are open to helping in whatever needs to be done. My passion and curiosity is cooking and love of good food, so helping to prepare meals is exciting.
We are thinking late October, or early November - after hurricane season, as we have a catamaran in the Caribbean we need to look after. We can help with olive harvesting and getting the property ready for winter.
Neal is an international keynote speaker and award winning author, but loves getting his hands dirty in the garden.

In our 24 yrs of happy marriage, we have owned 3 homes in 3 countries and currently still own 2. We enjoy creating an environment that nurtures us in nature. We have raised chickens, bees, built an impressive bamboo garden, and traveled the world. Neal is an award-winning author and extreme adventurer, having designed and built a boat (the smallest in the fleet) which he raced solo around the world in the BOC challenge and the AroundAlone yacht races. We are resourceful and find unlimited opportunities where others see barriers. We are a happy couple who enjoy the simple things in life, good friends, good food, occasional wine and the opportunity to make a difference.
