Descripción
Hi! We're an 18-year-old couple from Manchester currently taking a gap year to explore new cultures, ways of life, and the natural world around us. We both share a passion for animals and botany, and spend a lot of our time gardening outdoors and tending to our growing collections of indoor plants.
Being out in nature is a huge part of our lives, we love spending time outdoors through activities like hiking, cycling, and camping. We also stay mentally and physically active with indoor hobbies like Pilates and bouldering.
We’re also looking forward to the chance to meet new people and enjoy making connections during our journey. We're both excited to keep learning, get our hands dirty (literally), and hopefully play our part in protecting the planet and the incredible wildlife we share it with.

Que habilidades tienes?
Hi, I’m Annabel! Im on a gap year after finishing college and I’m really excited to be starting university next year to study Zoology. I’ve always had a deep love for animals and nature, which has only grown stronger through both my studies in animal management and hands-on experience.
Over the past two years, I’ve volunteered in a range of animal care settings, where I’ve been able to put my theoretical knowledge into practice. From daily husbandry routines to administering medication, I’ve cared for animals big and small. Outside of animal work, I have a big passion for the outdoors. I love hiking and exploring nature, it’s where I feel most inspired and connected to the world around me. I also enjoy cooking and baking in my free time. I like trying out new recipes, refining my techniques, and learning more about different cuisines. On top of that, I’m currently learning German and enjoying the challenge of picking up a new language. I’d describe myself as hardworking, easy going and always ready to give my best in whatever I do.
I'm Jamie, and I've also just finished college and am on a gap year. I'm fluent in German, as my mum's side of the family is from Germany. I thrive in practical, hands-on environments, especially when they're outdoors. I enjoy physically challenging activities like hiking, bouldering, and snowboarding, and I’m always looking for opportunities to push myself and learn new skills in nature-based settings. I also have experience in cleaning and hygiene practices from a pharmacy work placement. I have a strong interest in cooking, which I developed through studying Food Technology and continue to enjoy in my spare time. At home, I have a cat and regularly help out with dog walking for my girlfriend, which has deepened my appreciation for animals and strengthened my skills in animal care. I’ve always loved being around animals and feel confident handling and caring for them in a calm and practical way.I am a self motivated person who enjoys getting stuck into tasks and learning new skills.

Algo más...
We love spending cosy evenings together watching movies and baking sweet treats. Gardening is another favourite activity, we enjoy making our outdoor spaces bright and colourful. Some of our go-to games are Monopoly and Scrabble, and we also have fun with a good card game now and then. We're both keen readers and love spending time by the sea, especially when it involves a stop for coffee and cake along the way! Visiting historical buildings and learning about their stories is something we really enjoy too. We’re especially excited for an upcoming adventure, in December 2025, we’ll be heading to Germany for four months to work at a B&B, and we can’t wait to experience life there and meet new people.
