Hi, my name is Aleksa, and I'm a 25-year-old computer science student from Belgrade, Serbia! 😀 I love meeting people and making connections! I have this attitude of assuming every person in the world is good and wants to do good, and it has helped me meet so many wonderful people. As I'm getting older, I'm starting to feel this sense of community in the world more and more, and I'm starting to look at the world less as 8 billion individuals doing their own thing, and more as a huge chaotic family 😂 (but still a family!).
Since I feel weird telling you about myself, I asked my friends and my mom to write short reviews about me.

Jokes aside, I think of myself as a good and compassionate person who really likes being social and helping people. Once in a while, I even land a good joke.
My friends keep telling me I would be a much better comedian/entertainer than a programmer, and I never really knew whether they're complimenting my comedic abilities or making fun of my IT skills.
The reason I even created this profile is that in the past year, I've really been thinking about how life is too short and if we don't take advantage of the opportunities it gives us, it just goes by („No one told you when to run. You missed the starting gun“). I know it's an old cliche, but I feel like people aren't aware of it enough. I don't live my life in fear, and I try to take every chance life gives me.
In the past year, I have:
- hitchhiked to another country and back
- walked 80km twice as a part of the student movement in Serbia, fighting against government corruption.
- started dancing tango
- hosted a guy from Indonesia for a few days in my apratment in Belgrade!

What I like to do / What I can help with
Gardening/Plant care
-I've included a photo of my room and all the plants in it.
Taking care of kids
-A have a few nephews and nieces ranging from 1 to 16 years old and I love to spend time with them.
Driving
- I'm a confident and safe driver and have driven in different countries. I've actually been helping my friend learn to drive for the past few months, and I really enjoy it. If you ever need help getting groceries, picking someone up from the airport or anything similar, or even learning to drive, I would be glad to help!
Cooking
- I like cooking even though I'm not great at it. I would love to help you around with that.
Cleaning
- I pride myself in keeping my apartment clean and tidy, so I could also help you with tidying up and cleaning.
English
-I actually went to the Serbian republican competition in English when i was in High School. I would be glad to teach english.
Tutoring/Teaching (math/computer suff/technology/photography & editing/basketball)
-I feel like I'm a good teacher. I often help my 12-year-old nephew with his homework, and practically since I was a baby, I've been our family's designated IT guy (from „fixing“ phones and printers to teaching my dad how to use the internet). I always made sure to actually teach my family members to do the thing by themselves, not just for me to fix it this one time. You know, „teach a man to fish, …“.
Guitar
- I like playing the guitar, although I'm, without any fake modesty, horrible at it.
Photography
-I really like photography, and I've been taking photos with just my phone for the last few years till my friend lent me his canon r6 for a few days, and I instantly fell in love. Safe to say I know what the next thing I'm saving up for is.
Tango
-Because of my „life is too short, live it while you still can“ attitude, I've been attending these (free for students) tango lessons for a couple of months already, and that's a lot of fun.
Web development
-I'm currently learning to make web applications, so if you need some help with that, I would love to help you out in that regard as well.
