This was my second workaway and I had such a great time!! They welcomed me with such open arms, and it truly set the tone for this place! I was there for about 4 months, and it was such a privilege to be there. The daily work consisted of land work (land stewardship) pulling scotch broom or clearing areas on the property, usually as a group. (we even had the chance to do prescribed burns and working with everyone during those days was a very educational and cool learning experience) We also had daily chores, an extra hour of ether cleaning, dishes, or butter lamp cleaning, for me it was very meditative. The land itself had an amazing energy, surround by beautiful sequoias, waking up to the misty mountains and when it was clear you could see the beach from a top the hill. They were very open to sharing Buddhist mediations and teachings and letting you sit on group practices, always had a seat open to anyone who wanted join! Everyone there was also very nice and gave a helpful hand whenever you needed it. The other volunteers truly made my experience there such a great one, everyone I meet there had a lasting impression and good times with and I'm thankful for each one of them. I would highly recommend this workaway as they also provided group meals, clean living spaces, and a schedule to follow which is really nice to have as a volunteer. Just a reminder to anyone interested that it is definitely more of a secluded area but there are times when people from the property do day trips where you can tag along which is super nice!! Some day trips I got to go on was surfing, mushroom hunting, or just doing group adventures. I'm really happy and thankful that I had the chance to stay here as long as I did and hope I can come back in the future!! Thank PPI for everything!!

Thanks for coming! Catherine is very sweet and have a positive energy, she inspires calm. We appreciated to share time with her and the nice conversations in spanish/french . She helped me to do pending things step by step. The kids loved to have her around and want to see her again. A great experience even for lil time. Bonne continuation !

I had the pleasure of staying with Keith in Alaska, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcome. Keith is a genuinely kind, responsible, and warm hearted person. Since the float house is only accessible by boat, arriving there was already an adventure. On my very first day, we spotted seals, and that was just the beginning. The daily activities included chopping firewood, helping around the float house, fishing, and pulling crab pots. Honestly, it never felt like work. It felt more like spending time with a good friend, learning from his life experiences, and hearing fascinating stories that you simply do not come across every day. Keith has a great sense of humor and countless interesting stories from his life. In the evenings, we would relax, watch movies, and play cribbage together. I got absolutely destroyed again and again, but that was probably the best way to learn the game. He also let me use his kayak, which allowed me to paddle out on the ocean and explore the beautiful surroundings on my own. Chopping firewood was a lot of fun, and I actually learned a new skill there. The smell of red cedar is incredible. I took a small piece of cedar home with me, and every time I carve it or smell it, it brings back all the memories from my time there. Keith’s hospitality was exceptional. I had my own room with a direct view of the ocean, which felt like something out of a dream. During my stay, I saw humpback whales, wolves, bald eagles, seals, and many other incredible animals. We also spent time fishing together. Although the season was not ideal and the fishing was slow during my visit, it was still a fantastic experience and a great way to experience life in Alaska. Overall, I can highly recommend staying with Keith. If you are looking for an authentic Alaskan experience, beautiful nature, wildlife, and a genuinely welcoming host, this is the place. My stay there created memories that I will never forget.

Ben was with us for only 2 weeks unfortunately, but it felt like he was with us for much longer. We are always happy to have autonomous volunteers that not only spend time here to learn and experience but also to share, experiences or knowledge. Ben was already very capable of the things we did, such as the various construction projects we attacked, never being above getting his hands dirty. Instead of having to show him how things (such as power-tools) work, we were happy to ask him about his opinions and ideas; he can be truly autonomous if needed. Besides work, Ben was basically integrated into our community from day one, giving us some guitar lessons, spending time with everyone, talking, trying to learn french, exploring canyons, ... It's a shame he was only here for 2 weeks, we are waiting for him to come back! All the best to you Ben!

Abdu . Stayed here for six weeks . He was an excellent helper and brilliant company . He was one of the most versatile helpers i ever had and could turn his hand to any task . .if you are lucky enough to have the opportunity of having him stay i can 100 percent recommend him .Abdu till we meet again I wish you safe travels .take care .

My time with Fehmi and his family was a truly memorable experience. During the eight days I stayed on the farm, I had the chance to experience authentic rural life in Turkey in a way that few travelers ever do. As many previous Workawayers have mentioned, you quickly become part of the family here. We worked together, shared meals, drank tea and coffee, and spent many hours together. Fehmi's mother cooks incredibly delicious food, and I always looked forward to meal times. One thing I especially appreciated was how lively the atmosphere always was. Family members, relatives, and neighbors regularly visited the farm, so there was always something happening. Going to local markets, meeting people from the village, and experiencing everyday village life gave me a much deeper understanding of Turkish culture. Fehmi is a warm, curious, and generous person who genuinely enjoys connecting with people. His sisters and family were equally kind and welcoming, and their hospitality is something I will always remember. One thing that especially touched me was Fehmi's generosity. Before I left, I found myself without any cash, and he gave me 200 TL and insisted that I keep it, even when I offered to pay it back later. It was a simple gesture, but one that reflected the kindness and hospitality I felt from the family throughout my stay. The farm itself is beautiful, especially in the evenings. Watching the sunset over the fields after a long day on the farm was one of my favorite moments. There was something very peaceful about spending summer evenings there with a cup of tea and the sound of nature all around. Life here is very much centered around the farm and the family, which makes the experience feel authentic, immersive, and deeply connected to local culture. The work can be physically demanding at times, but it also offers a genuine understanding of daily farm life and the effort behind it. For anyone hoping to experience everyday Turkish village life from the inside, this is a unique opportunity. Thank you to Fehmi and his family for sharing their home, their culture, and their daily life with me. This was a special experience that I will remember for a long time.

Buenisima experiencia compartir con Caterina y Andrea ! Han trabajado super bien en el jardin y el huerto. También hemos compartido deliciosas comidas juntos y nuestra pequeña India se ha sentido muy agusto y les ha cogido mucho cariño. Una pareja comprometida , formal y autónoma. Y su pequeño perro Taio muy bueno y divertido. Super recomendable compartir con ellos ;)

I had a great time with the team here. I enjoyed learning about Yuendumu and the Warlpiri culture. The artworks are beautiful. I think flexibility is important an important skills to have spending time in a remote indigenous community. Given the opportunity, I would go back again.

If you're looking for someone to help in your garden or on your farm, Lamia is definitely the person you're looking for. She is always ready to help, eager to learn, and willing to take part in any task. She is very capable with gardening work and always does her best to make your life easier and support you in any way she can. At the same time, she is adaptable, friendly, understanding, respectful, and kind. It doesn't take long before she becomes part of the family. I would also like to thank her for coming to our small village and giving the people here the chance to meet someone from China. Everyone loved her. People were lining up just to have a conversation with her. Even when they knew they couldn't understand each other, they still wanted to keep talking to her. I sincerely wish her all the best in life. I hope you achieve everything you dream of and build the life you have always imagined. Thank you for becoming a part of our family and for all your help. We are truly grateful for everything you did during your stay. I wish you happiness, success, and safe travels wherever life takes you. And please, never forget that you have a home here in Türkiye. Hallo, es war sehr schön für mich Alexandre und Laetitia begegnet zu haben. Sie waren sehr nett. Ich habe nur gestaunt, wie enfach es mit ihnen war. Ich konnte ihnen nur einen Auftrag geben, wie z:B baut mit bitte ein Rankgerüst für die Stangenbohnen. Sucht euch bitte selbst das Baumaterial im Wald und holt euch selbst das Werkzeug aus der Garsche und ja das KLettergerüst kann durchaus ein Kunstwerk sein. Bitte erschafft das, wie ihr wollt. Sie haben das Gerüst schnell und wunderschön gestaltet. Ebenso auch den Rosenbogen und anderes mehr. Was dazu noch sehr schön war, ist das ich endlich Gelegenheit hatte Franösisch zu sprechen. We had a great experience with Matthew and Sara. They were helping us excavate a pathway and they worked uncomplainingly to dig out and move lots of earth and stones. Both Matthew and Sara are very energetic and sporty and they were active in using their free time to explore the mountains walking and cycling. Really lovely people- calm, kind and caring. I would highly recommend them both as workawayers. We enjoyed getting to know them and sharing dinner/games and experiences. All good wishes for the future.

From the little staircase she built so that Luna could get onto the bed, to helping create a recipe book for future Workawayers, Laura put her heart and creativity into everything she did. Ertone and Ferielle were truly two of the best guests I have ever hosted. They are kind, hardworking, honest, and without a doubt the most polite guests I have ever met. They stayed with me for three and a half months, the longest stay I have ever had, and throughout that entire time they were an absolute pleasure to have around. We shared many great experiences together, and I genuinely feel that we became close friends. They treated my home, my business, and everyone around them with great respect and care. I can wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone without hesitation. I am already looking forward to the day we meet again. Kathrin, Vincens, Ruben und Carla waren eine absolute Bereicherung für unser Projekt und wir können sie uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen! Von Anfang an war die Zeit mit ihnen sehr angenehm, entspannt und inspirierend. Es hat großen Spaß gemacht, diese tolle Familie kennenzulernen und Zeit mit ihnen zu verbringen. Mit ihrem Haus auf Rädern bringen sie nicht nur einen besonderen Lebensstil mit, sondern auch eine unglaublich positive, offene und sympathische Ausstrahlung. Besonders beeindruckt hat uns ihr handwerkliches Geschick. Egal welche Aufgabe anstand – sie waren in allen Bereichen äußerst kompetent, motiviert und lösungsorientiert. Man merkt sofort, dass sie viel Erfahrung haben und Herausforderungen mit Ruhe, Kreativität und Sachverstand angehen. Auf sie war jederzeit Verlass, und die Ergebnisse ihrer Arbeit waren hervorragend. Darüber hinaus waren sie unkompliziert, respektvoll und haben sich wunderbar in den Alltag integriert. Die Zusammenarbeit verlief völlig stressfrei und war von gegenseitigem Vertrauen und Wertschätzung geprägt. Auch Ruben und Carla sind großartige Kinder, die mit ihrer fröhlichen und freundlichen Art die gemeinsame Zeit bereichert haben. Wir sind sehr dankbar für die Zeit, die wir mit dieser wunderbaren Familie verbringen durften, und würden sie jederzeit wieder bei uns willkommen heißen. Wer die Gelegenheit hat, Kathrin, Vincens, Ruben und Carla als Workawayer zu empfangen, kann sich wirklich glücklich schätzen. When I arrived here I knew I was in for something special, and I was right. The setting was gorgeous, the food was scrumptious, and the company was engaging. We did lots of spring gardening, which I enjoyed, (once having my own farm) and a variety of other projects, that kept things interesting. After a healthy amount of exercise, followed by lunch, we were all free to explore the local towns and events, of which there were surprisingly many to enjoy. Everyone had their own living quarters, and mine ("The Nest") had a sink with mini-kitchen, a comfy Queen bed and mountain views. Vermont is a special place and Peter (& co.) made it all the more interesting — and totally welcoming. I appreciated his offer to come visit any time (as a "guest" ;) and hope to take him up on it. I had a great time, and you will too.

My Workaway experience with Ajuna was a very memorable and special time for me and I would do it again any time. The property and the landscape are truly beautiful and peaceful. I really enjoyed being outside in nature so much, moving a lot daily, and doing physical work. Highlights for me were definitely the morning feeding of the horses and chickens, harvesting our own eggs, the sunsets on the vineyards, cooking and drinking wine together in the evening, building the vegetable garden, the dogs Naxo and Yacu following me everywhere, walks into the village to drink coffee there, and the baby goats (unfortunately only at the end of my time) that we raised with the bottle. Even if our start was a bit bumpy, being confronted with changes of plans, tasks/duties were communicated differently beforehand, and ultimately a real storm literally brewed up & caused a lot of damage, Ajuna and I built a good & trusting relationship with each other. Ajuna has many amazing + creative ideas and tasks and is therefore very busy and sometimes erratic, which is why especially in the beginning misunderstandings occurred at times and changes arose spontaneously, which challenged me. We a had good conversations about it and we were then able to find individual solutions suitable for both of us, which I am still very grateful for. Ajuna shared her home with me and entrusted her animals and the place to me, so that my partner and I had a beautiful week there just the two of us. This I still don’t take for granted and is very special to me. Roman, Ajuna's child, is a very lively, interested and sensitive child – we too got along very well after getting to know each other a bit, and I really like to think back to lunches with him in the sun and listening to music together. We also shared the sleeping space together which worked out very well! :) So all in all it was what I expected from my first Workaway experience and in the end I was sad to leave. I am already looking forward to returning again sometime!

I had a fantastic week in Copenhagen with Trine and her son. During my stay, I did some cleaning: windows around the house, the car, and I also repainted the terrace. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and discovering the city, despite the unpredictable weather. Thank you so much Trine for your hospitality and your time. You're a wonderful host whom I highly recommend, and I hope to meet you again if I have the chance to return. Merci et à bientôt ! 👋

Que de bons souvenirs !!! Juan spent more than a month with us last year ! and it has been a full success. We had very good time all together. We enjoyed very much his humour and kindless with the klds and us two. We became friends. He came back during for Easter with pleasure. He is a very good DIY worker. He can do every thing with his hands and his brain ! Nothing is difficult for him. Recently , he asked us to come back this summer...and of course we are very pleased ans fill lucky. We know he will take care of the pool and the garden, and repair lot of things ! We look forward to see him soon.
