  We are a couple 60 and 70 years old. We would be glad for a helping hand for the renovation of an old house. We offer accomodation, bicycles (maybe even ebike), sightseeing, maybe language practice: German and English and meals. I think 4 hours helping a day would be perfect, plus helping to pepare lunch. The rest of the day you can enjoy with your own program. I can give tips for travelling cheap in Germany.
  Please read everything that I have written attentively! I expect people to come who would really like to help at least 4 hours a day and who are not shy to get dirty fingers. And sometimes you should be able to work independently on your own responsibility. But it is also necessary that you are willing to listen to my requirements. Sometimes it may happen, that I want to tell you, how I would like to have things done. If you cannot stand any critical statement, I think here is not the right place for you. I am always keen on finding the best solutions for problems and tasks! So let's find them together as a team. And please bring your own clothes for working if possible. I Have some, but I don't know your size and preferences. Painting for example really needs special clothes.

  I inherited a house from the sixties, unfortunately in a bad condition and I would like to do some renovation.
  Above all I need someone who helps me to clean. Also I want to do some painting (walls and windows), maybe the whole front of the house. Maybe you are an artist and you want to realize a graffitiy or a picture on one wall.
  
  In harvest and summer I need helpers for harvesting fruits (berries, apples, plums etc.) I prepare marmelades, juice etc. so you can learn how to conserve food for the winter. Help around the garden is always nice.
  You don't need to have any special skills to work for me. I guess many jobs everybody can do it. if you have special abilities, for example you are a painter, a carpenter, or another handyman, it would be perfect. There is always work for you. Restauration of old Furnitures is also possible, so as painting the walls of the house inside and outside.
  For example you could decorate the outside wall of the house with a picture.
  
  It is also fine if someone can help with computer and smartphone problems.
  
  4 hours helping plus assistence prparing the lunch would be nice, and the rest of the day is free. I have many bicycles that ou can repair if you are able and you can use them of course. I would like to cook together, and I would like to learn something from you cooking together. Also I can teach you how to prepare German meals. I am aktive in foodsaving and foodsharing, so we cook with groceries from there. or with fresh vegetables from the garden. We eat nearly everthing and we don't have any allergies.

  I would like to improve Spanish, French and Italian, maybe start with Portugues and above all Arabic. I speak French, Spanish and Italian on an intermediate level, arabic beginner.

  Alojamiento

  The room is at a suburban place in Schwäbisch Gmünd. The room is nice and light and you could use an own kitchen if you like. Shower is in the cellar, we don't have a bath and no fluent warm water from the taps. Warm water we have only for quick showers in the cellar. The house I live in is from the 50ies and a little bit like a museum of this time... Everythimg is very simple, for example there is no dishwasher etc. We heat with wood in ovens. It is not possible to stay in a warm own room the whole day, because partly we heat with electricity and that is really expensive.
  Also it is not always totally clean in the house and I store many things there which I try to sell at Ebay. I am a collector of every kind of stuff that I might be able to sell. So in the house it is a bit narrow, because I use it also as a storage place. If you feel uncomfortable with this, I think it is better not to come. Complaining about it if you are here doesn't help at all. :-)
  Also if you plan to apply for asyl, I cannot host you, because the rules in Germany are very strict for illegal people and I don't want to have any struggle with the authorities. And I cannot help you in this belongings in any way. Please respect this. People from Turkey, Maroc, Tunisia etc. for example normally won't get any asyl in Germany!
  Also I cannot pay for your journey to my house and I cannot pay any salery. And last but not least I cannot not help you getting a VISA in any way! And I cannot invite you. Please accept and respect this and don't apply if you need help in this themes. So we all save precious lifetime. Thanks!

  Schwäbisch Gmünd is in the center a town from the middle-ages. You can get everything there you need. It is not too big and not to small, calm and relaxed with some important churches. You can check all about the city into the internet. By bike it is 10 min from my house to the center, walking maybe 20 min
  Stuttgart, the capital of BadenWürttemberg with many interesting spots and museums is not too far (50 km) and there is bus and train nearby. If you are interested we can do some sightseeing trips together, but I don't have the time to stay with you all the time.
  The surrounding of Schwäbisch Gmünd is quite nice for walking and cycling. For 49 € you can buy a ticket for travelling in Germany for a whole month. It is even cheaper, when you start with the ticket in the middle of the month. I can tell you how to get it without abonnement. This is a very good possibility to travel around for almost no cost. I can offer you also an own bicycle during your stay.
