For the future, we are looking for someone to share the house with, long term. Then we speak about also share the general costs, like power and internet, rubbish and similar. They do have to be positive to workawayers :-)
We are a family of 2 persons living on a small organic farm in Norway. We have a lot of projects going on here (restoring the house, building up an organic garden, tending to our chickens and cats, etc.), and would love some help any time, really! We offer a free place to stay and 3 meals a day if you're willing to help out with the daily workload and chores around here, in addition to the various projects that come up. Right now we are working on to fullfill the chicken house project. We need a good chicken pen with a roof because we guess the curfew for chickens will come again next spring caused by the annoying bird flu.
We need people that can use a saw, hammer and nails and also are handy in other building skills.
To be in our family can lead to everything, from normal house chores when you live in a family to things that suddenly pop up. We also like to give friends and family a hand :-)
By the way, it's not too early to contact us regarding next year :)
We had some experience now, telling us that workawayers from outside the Schengen area need to have a working holiday visa in order to be permitted to do workaway in Norway. To work with children and other care professions you need a certificate of criminal record, and you still have to take this document to the Norwegian police to see if they can fix a Norwegian one for you.
And last, but not least: When we have agreed to you coming here, it's a good idea to send us a copy of your working holiday visa. We are required to check it...

We can offer a bedroom in the house, as well as tents or sleeping arrangements in the barn, depending on how many visitors we get. We will provide bedding, tents, and anything else needed for your accommodations.
We will provide three free meals every day - however, we may occasionally ask you to help out with cooking. We will provide the necessary groceries, unless there's something specific you wish to buy for yourself.
You will also have access to fridge/freezer 24/7, in case you wish to store your own food or cook for yourself outside of the communal meals.
We live only a short distance from Oslo, the capital of Norway. There, you can find a lot of bars, restaurants, shopping, and various tourist attractions. There aren't a lot of buses here, but we're willing to help with driving, or let you borrow bicycles.
There will also be many opportunities to go for trips in the beautiful area we live in :)
