Come share experiences on our small farm in the mountains of Central Portugal.
We search for builders with experience in stonework, cob or lime, carpenters, arborists and other handy-folks.
Anyone with experience, good work ethic and genuine desire to learn and contribute in making a change is welcome.
(People depending on technology who can't do a step without their phone are not looking at the right place here.)
We hope to attract people who take pleasures in their work and the simple things of life.

Here you learn how to take a step back from the often too busy lifestyle and have time to get to know yourself, your needs, your strengths and your creativity, without pressure of modern life. We try to live in a way that is traditional for this area, where you will still find shepherds with their flock of sheep walking the streets. People here make their own cheese, wine and bread and are proudly offering them to taste for everyone. We hope that anyone who visits can mainly learn something about themselves.
For those who are interested, we can teach basic soap making, fermentations, pickling, regenerative gardening and animal care.
The village we live in is situated on the side of the mountains and therefore, the views are always wonderful and there are endless hikes to be had. We hope to attract travelers who wish to live in harmony with nature and reconnect with our roots. It is so easy to forget the beautiful basics.

For the coming months we are looking for a volunteer who is experienced in stonewall pointing, lime plastering, or woodwork to help with some projects around our cabin and barn.

Alojamiento
Simple. We have a van and a trailer that is equipped with a kitchen.
The volunteers generally have their own kitchen and should be able to care for themselves with the veggies and groceries we provide for them. We have a compost toilet, and hot shower. We provide biodegradable soap if you don´t have any.

In your free time, we can take hikes together (we´re in the mountains afterall), play music, play boardgames, go to the closeby bar to have a cold beer
No public transport here, but we can bring or go with you to town by car or walk for 20 -30 minutes. There are tons of natural beaches around if you wanna chill at a lake or river.
