Hi i live in the Douro valley near the town of Cinfaes, my house is nestled in the junction of the Douro and Bestanca Rivers. It is an ideal area for all forms of nature, the walking and exploring is idylic. Life here is very traditional, local cafes where the villagers meet gossip and exchange things they have grown. its like stepping back 50 years in time. althought we will work and eat together the majority of time you will also have a private apartment to live in, as everyone needs there own space.

there are now many people in thas area who have escaped the rat race. as i did 8 years ago they enjoy life without the daily grind. Whatever your back ground is you will see a different way of living here, we will be building a chicken run for 6 chickens and cultivating the land. I also have a fully equiped wood working shop where i i am happy teaching carpentry skills.

as an ex chef i will provide all food no matter what your diet is there is a washing machine to use aswell you will have your own private fully equiped apartment to stay in.
i can supply a one or two bedroom apartment free of charge and also food.

During 1 week, we mainly worked in the garden, preparing the land for spring and summertime. Preparing beds for plantings, cleaning soils and walls from weeds and bushes.
