  Semi-retired I am married. My wife works fulltime from home or commute to Calgary. Our kids have their own careers and are out of the house. We have 1 dog (Boxer) and 3 old horses. We build our Timberframe home in 2006-07 on 23 acres of land overlooking the Alberta Foothills (John Ware Ridge) with in the background the majestic Rocky Mountains to see. It is very quiet and in the middle of nature, bordering Kananaskis, remote but not too remote. We are 1/2 hour SW of South-Calgary and 1-1/2 hour from Banff. You do need a car to get around or we can bring you on certain days into Calgary if you desire. We have 1 bedroom available with queen-size bed with private bathroom. Not only are we surrounded for hiking but also cute little towns with a western atmosphere.

  We are Dutch from origin but live for over 30 years in Canada. We choose this location because it is one of the most beautiful areas in Western Canada. We travel ourselves extensively and know how it is to experience the real local way of living here. We will show you around here locally so you can enjoy it too.

  We have fallen trees what needs cleanup, cut and split. I would say end of May. Also plant flowers in the flower boxes (end May/early June)
