We have availability from march onwards.
We have taken to this sea change and now live on beautiful Bribie Island, we have just moved into a beautiful home on the canal so we can fish and use paddle boards and go on the boat!
With hubby working on a gold mine now, its now mum and kids running the camping shop!
So much fun to be had! Preferably we are looking someone who love kids and animals we have a gorgeous alexandrine parrot named Bribie. This is more of an aupair role we love to laugh have fun and enjoy our time.
I love the beach and as its warming up here so plenty to do! We are a family of 6, with twin six year old girls who are so happy and energetic, a 13 year old girl and 14 year old boy who loves fishing and beach activities and footy.
We treat all our workawayers like family, if you like good food and a family fun environment then we are the people to come see!
Ideally we are looking for people that love family life and wan't to make Australia home for a period of 6 months or more.
PLEASE NO CIGARETTE SMOKERS - we have young children it is no good for their health.
A bit about us:
We own a camping shop on Bribie which is open everyday and looking for some help with the children and just general running of the home. If you are interested in coming into the shop that would be awesome!
This is a help exchange role with the possibility of some pocket money if you are wanting to help out more, to help travelling people enjoy Australia without having to break the bank.
In exchange for 25hrs help per week, we will provide accommodation / meals and some experiences (welcome to join us on family adventures or take the weekend off and go exploring). Getting around is really easy here and if you want to go to Fraser Island its not too far we might even go on the boat!
We are looking for help around the house and helping with the girls, playing, and just having fun with the littlest ones. We are not looking for party people around our children, we do enjoy hanging out and having a beer!
What will we do???
Swimming, surfing, fishing, paddle boarding, museum, butterfly house there is so much to do and we aren't far from Brisbane so its very central.

I stayed at the Herlaar farm for a little over a month and enjoyed every minute of my time here. The work is pretty easy and at a good pace and Dan is very happy to teach you how to do anything on the farm, from picking fruit, whipper snipping the grass, fixing sprinklers, and also DIY around the farm. We had an amazing time at the Herlaar farm. Daniel knew a few things about farm work but I had totally no experience in it. Kira and Dan explained everything very nicely and patiently to me.
Kira is the coolest, as a mom, host mom and as a friend. In addition she is such a great cook. Both of us gained some weight in those… read more
Thais the Herlaar family is simply awesome, from the first moment they integrate you in the family (and I'm sure to integrate someone who doesn't spreak in English is not easy but they have done it and I will always appreciate it :D).
