Descripción
We are a guatemalan-swiss family living in the north of Guatemala. We are living with our two childrens: a 7 years ils girl and a baby (we would love to welcome other families). We are developing an ecoturistic project. We work in agriculture and in the protection of a natural reserve. We have farm animals too.
The place is very nice, with a river and a natural reserve with a lot of animals, like monkeys, toucans, a lot of birds…

A room at home or a really basic house with common kitchen.
As we normaly work in the morning, we give you breakfast and lunch. All meals are going to be vegetarian and with local products. A basic kitchen with oil, salt and pepper is available to cook dinner and the days you are not going to workAlgo más...
All volunteers options include a tour in our natural reserve to learn about wild plants, local agriculture and see the animals of the tropical forest. You can access to the river to swim, to fish… Of course you are not going to work the day you will arrive and the day you will leave. If you stay two weeks, you will have two days off in between.
We are far away from the city, but it is easy to travel by local bus (3 hours). The closest community is 20 min walk from home. We can come to pick-up in Cubilhuitz, but we will charge you for the diesel 40$.
You will enjoy the nature and the sounds of the animals. The house is far from the city, the accommodation is very basic. We don’t have electricity (only solar) and running water (we use water from the rain or from the river). You will leave like the guatemalan people leave. If you want a new adventure, come to visit us!Un poco más de información
