  Dear Work-Awayers :)
  We are a 4 member family, Gemma - Beniamino and our 2 children Manfredi (10 years) and Ascanio (3 year) who lives in Sannicandro a Bari suburb area which is Apulia capital.
  As said, we live in Bari suburb in a tipical olive grove country area, Bari downtown can be easily reached by a 30 minute bus ride. The closest beach area (Bari's beach) is 20 km away and lots of Apulian attractions such as Polignano a Mare, Monopoli, Alberobello are reachable and not far away.. Sannicandro downtown has shops and grocery and is about 1,5 km away from the house. The closest bus stop is about 1 km away from home (20 min walking).
  We are looking for some one or better someones who really wants to spend a summer in Apulia, enjoy their time here and meanwhile keep an eye on the house.

  1. House Sitting in August
  • We would like to share our beautiful home while we are away tavelling for holidays.
  The volunteering period will cover the entire month of August. During the first week, Beniamino will still be at home and will stay together with the volunteers to explain everything about the house and make sure all routines and systems are clear and easy to manage.
  We do not yet have a fixed end date for us to come back, it will be on September 6th the later, we hope that volunteer can stay until that date.
  We are looking for some one or better someones (our past Workaway experiences suggest that when you are more than one, you enjoy much more the time spent at our home) reliable and responsible who really wants to spend a summer in Apulia, enjoy their time here and meanwhile keep an eye on the house.
  ----
  The main goal is to make sure the house stays clean, tidy, and functioning properly while we are away. However, the most important part of the help involves taking care of the garden.
  Tasks include:
   General garden maintenance
   Removing weeds and keeping outdoor areas tidy
   Mowing the lawn periodically
   Checking that the irrigation system is working correctly
   Monitoring the water level in the tank
  We would especially appreciate guests who already have some gardening experience and enjoy outdoor work 😊
  In return, you will have the opportunity to stay in a peaceful home environment and enjoy the area during the summer.
  We are looking for trustworthy people who can treat our home with care and attention.

  2. Babysitter needed from September –
  • We are a friendly family and we are looking for a caring and responsible person to help with our two children (10 and 3 years old) for about 20 days, covering the period from the end of our summer holidays Sept. 1st until the start of school, around Sept. 17.
  Beniamino and I work in public sector, administrative duties. We live in a very big house, with plenty of space and a private garden.
  👶 Main tasks:
  The main focus is spending time with the children during the day, especially supervising little Ascanio. Manfredi (10) is quite independent, but we would love if he is occasionally involved in simple activities and playtime.
  ⏰ Schedule:
  Help is mainly needed in the morning and early afternoon, while we are at work, until we return home around 3:00–4:00 pm.
  🧺 Light household help (if possible):
  During the morning, we would appreciate some small help with simple family tasks such as dishwasher, laundry, or keeping common spaces tidy — nothing heavy or fixed.
  🌿 Afternoons free:
  Once we are back home, you will have complete freedom to do what you prefer: go out, rest, or spend time with our family — whatever feels best for you.
  We offer a private room, all meals, and a warm family environment. We are well connected to Bari (bus every 30 minutes), so it’s easy to explore the city or the coast in your free time.
  We are looking for someone kind, reliable, and genuinely happy to spend time with children and share a relaxed family experience 😊

Since we have two young kids (3 and 10 years old), it is very important that any pets are well-behaved, calm, and used to being around children.
