  North Vancouver family is packing to move off grid and need support! Ive become caretaker to my 2 aging parents, and am preparing for a move to our cabin this fall. We live in a 3 bedroom townhome nestled in a beautiful location. Near transit, old growth forest, river with sandy beach steps from our door, and a 15minute walk from the beach, in a Wild Bird reserve. Our backyard is family oriented. You'll hear kids splashing in our outdoor heated pool, or riding their bikes. We enjoy home cooked meals (making foccaccia bread, or homemade pickles, sauerkraut, sauces) and are tight on time these days, so we are looking for support. No alcohol in the home, we dont drink.

  We are avid travelers ourselves. Ive lived in Europe for 6 years, (mostly Hungary) my partner abroad for over 10 (South Africa, Asia, Malta, Libya) We volunteer with first nations for Trust support and are tax planners as a profession. We aim to provide a respectful home, and welcome those from many backgrounds. I love learning foods from many cultures and would welcome meeting someone from a place we havent visited yet. I cook traditional food atleast once a week from Hungary. Otherwise mostly American /Italian/Greek style food . I am vegetarian, but eat Fish and eggs regularly. My son is interested in Video Game development and is building a game. Im building an app in my spare time. We have a property that is boat access only. For the right fit we may be able to extend a stay to include time up the indian Arm as it will need extensive repairs over the next year.

  2 week stay offered, or until we find a long term roommate. We are seeking packing, organizing support and general household help including: plant watering, sweeping, and posting items for sale, or running donations to the bins. Some pet feeding may be requested. We have 2 grey tabby cats! Hours are flexible for the right fit.
  
  We have one living room dedicated as a packing space. (Cabin essentials needing to be packaged and wrapped) and a few shelves to sort items into. Labeling, stacking, decluttering support..

  We speak English, Hungarian, Afrikaans, and have learnt some: farsi, French & Arabic. Open to learning German next, or Italian, Japanese, and Spanish.

  Alojamiento

  Private furnished bedroom in a 3 bedroom townhome. Furnished with a queen size bed, tall bookshelf, closet, or can have a desk in place of bookshelf. Starlink Wifi, outdoor pool, hottub (if someone can help us fix the heater!) River in the backyard, and ocean nearby. Bedroom is private, but bath is shared. We have 2 baths, and a large kitchen, dining room, living room, and patio space. No smoking in the house. We have a camper in the front yard where you may smoke at if need be. Family.community. quiet at night, no party's. Near the forest trails. In Seymour River in North Van. Bedding included, pillows, blankets etc.
  
  I have a stocked pantry you may help yourself to. We each make our own breakfast, lunches, and share every other dinner time..I don't cook Sunday nights. And have been cooking once - 2 times a week big meals. You are welcome to use our BBQ, and the kitchen. But ive been out of the house at my parents a lot, and will ask you to mainly cook for yourself when I'm not able to. Ideas/ menus will be listed. We gave fresh veggies every friday. And a deep stock 1x/ Month.

  Hiking,swimming, bird watching, fishing, lots to do in north Van! Downtown busses leave direct from our main busstop to burrard station and return several times daily.

  We work hard during the day, and rest by 10pm..sometimes watching a show later into the night, but no party lifestyle.. we would appreciate someone who enjoys quiet time in evenings as well. We do not have cable television, but a TV in the living room has a few video game consoles, and A small DVD collection.

  We do not have plug in for rvs etc, but the parking in the area is fine for small campers/vanlifers. Check District of north Van for any parking regulations.

  We lost our dog 2 Christmases ago and miss her dearly. Would accept a well behaved (smaller) dog. We had a springer spaniel. No pitbulls, sorry
