  Welcome to beautiful North Vancouver!
  
  Our family just bought a 1970's 3 level 3 bedroom cabin up Indian Arm, on the ocean, and she needs some love! (National Forest/Park)
  
  There is a dedicated private dock. We are boat access only! This cabin is offgrid! We have power (battery banks, some solar & Gas generator) Wifi (starlink) and some water (hot water tank is propane ) For heat, we have a fireplace, and the kitchen stove, propane run, is the center of the home.
  
  We normally reside in North Vancouver on land, and are fixing up the cabin to make it habitable year round. So we will not be at the cabin full time, but are offering it to you full time. We would bring you out there by our boat, and can give 1-2 rides per month (more upon request, if you help pay for gas)
  
  This is the best of what North Vancouver has to offer. Situated on 1 acre of old growth forest. If you like to write, read, find solitude, or just want to reconnect with nature and are not afraid of a few forest animals you'll fit right in!
  
  We are secluded, but part of a larger community, as there are about 10 cabins in a row near us. The boat ride is 20 minutes from Deep Cove, or a nice leisurely 3.5 hour paddle by kayak. (We have a kayak) There is a water taxi but that can be costly. A WhatsApp group for our cabins will connect you with neighbour's if you request a ride back to the mainland as well.
  
  We are seeking someone who loves the homesteader/ rustic lifestyle.(canning, fishing, property management) We do not expect full time hours, more like a caretaker, and eyes on the property. And support with bigger projects when we are there.
  
  We ultimately need help with the basics of upgrading a home: leveling the corners of the homes foundation, dock support, deck building, flooring installation in some areas, resealing windows, etc
  
  Or more light tasks like firewood collection, (already cut, just needing to place somewhere dry) , interior painting, beach tidyup, decorating support.
  
  Some fun tasks may include making an outdoor sauna.. or greenhouse!
  
  We may have accommodation for you for days when you want to come shop in vancouver, and just be back in the city. I could use help at our townhouse with general organizing, decluttering & packing.

  We are avid travelers ourselves. Ive lived in Europe for 6 years, (mostly Hungary) my partner abroad for over 10 (South Africa, Asia, Malta, Libya) We volunteer with first nations for Trust support and are tax planners as a profession. We aim to provide a respectful home, and welcome those from many backgrounds. I love learning foods from many cultures and would welcome meeting someone from a place we havent visited yet. I cook traditional food atleast once a week from Hungary. Otherwise mostly American /Italian/Greek style food . I am vegetarian, but eat Fish and eggs regularly. My son is interested in Video Game development and is building a game. Im building an app in my spare time.

  Sealing up windows /weatherproofing

  Installing French Drain around perimeter of house

  Alojamiento

  Private furnished bedroom in a 4 bedroom offgrid cabin. Remote access. 20minutes away from Deep Cove, near North Vancouver.
  
  Furnished with a double size bed and one closet.
  
  Starlink wifi is unlimited.
  
  Bedroom is private, but bath is shared. We have 2 baths, and a large kitchen, dining room, living room, and patio spaces. No smoking in the house. Outside is fine, but all cigarette butts must be contained.
  
  We have a kayak and crab traps you may use.
  
  Family community. Quiet at night please. No party's.
  
  Nearly 1 acre of forest trails.
  
  Please bring your own bedding. But we could provide if you are in a pinch.
  
  Food will be provided for dry only, once a month. Please make your own meals, and purchase your own fruits and veggies to suit your taste. We are vegetarian and will not be providing meat. With a fishing liscence you may fish in the ocean. Lots of Salmon right now. And we are in a cod sanctuary. As owners of the cabin we are allowed to fish here, but commercial fisherman are not!
  
  You will see other boaters daily, and neighbours are nearby. Walking distance, but otherwise you would be on your own.
  
  We will be able to share in North Vancouver a space for you to sleep for a few nights if you come to the mainland for some reason, but accommodation for 1 or 2.
