    Hello!
For spontaneous people: Short term 05/04- 03/07 stay possible with spring vibes and duties including re-organizing and birthday parties

Preferred long-term starting until July (up to December) I am happy to host you longer -
while you could experience a gap year, learn German, do arts projects

    # long-term: for the kids it would be best if you could stay for 2 - 6 months (and longer)

We are a family with 3 kids (5, 8 and 13 years old) looking for very reliable, humorous person with good experiences with kids, who likes to cook, knows about healthy nutrition and vegan dishes, and helps keeping it clean & tidy, and some patience with being part of our vivid multi-cultural family.
We prefer women; or gentle and well-reflected young men, kids just love having a young auntie (or uncle) and we can have nice talks and help you explore beautiful Vienna!

You will have plenty of time for yourself and we have will organize a weekly schedule with your tasks, and I do need some flexibility (kids might get sick, sone plans might change)

We live in a 5 bedroom- apartment in Vienna Donaustadt goode to the Danube at metro station to U1 Kagraner Platz and close to Alte Donau/ Donauinsel in a community house project.

Aleksandra, mom, 43 years: I work with EU funds for youth projects. I studied communication and gender studies, travelled a lot, was teaching at university, and like film projects. In our free time I like to go out into nature, do sports, go dancing. Most of the time it's work & kids though :)

We speak German, also Slovenian and we can speak English and a little Georgian. Muriel stays 50% with his dad.

@ Muriel, 5years, in kindergarten, loves books, sports, ninjago, dinos- he is our active little boy
@ Nika Leon, 13 years, in 8th grade, loves and trains football, gym, gaming , hanging with friends- our teenie
@ Lela, 8 years, 3rd grade, likes being creative, is sporty and into aerobics, loves animals, is a vegetarian - being the sandwich sister is not always easy

We all love swimming, being creative and also spontaneous and our 2 tiny Guinea pigs. Muriel and Lela can play nicely, but do get into fights. The kids are used to international people and are open-minded. But do note: there are 3 of them at different ages. And I need some help after my working days and to be able to give the kids what they need. Thats where you‘d come in in my after-work hours!

We live in our own apartment in a house project with women & multicultural families. It is a leftist, feminist and queer friendly house project. We get on well with our neighbors and kids have friends in the house. We share common spaces: a sunshiny big rooftop terrace with sunsets, a garden with trees and a little playground, a Gemeinschaftsraum (common room with kitchen) and a sauna.

You will have your own room with a bed, a desk, a wardrobe, WiFi and a shared balcony towards the South. The house is within walking distance of U1 Kagraner Platz. It takes ca. 20 min to Stephansplatz, 10min to Praterstern. You can bike to and swim in the Alte Donau. There is a grocery store and a soccer playground next to our house.

Our household is smoke-free. One may smoke outside (on the balcony). I think a transparent communication and a good organization are important so that family life, work and volunteer time can work well together :)

To sum up: do household chores such as cooking, dish washer, laundry, grocery shopping. Kids are still learning to help doing chores, too. Spend afterwork afternoons/evenings with them/us, play cards & creative games with Lela and Muriel, do fitness with Nika, bake or do smoothies together with kids. Some times pick up kids & babysit some evenings/nights. We like to do fun stuff together like dance evenings, going swimming and for an ice-cream, exploring nature. We love your creative contribution:)

You really must like kids and be natural with them. This is essential. And be a positive person who has a hands-on mentality.

On some evenings -when not too tired after long work/kids days -we like to hang and talk about travels, people, politics, films, drinking a glass of wine or a beer. For sure you will get a good insight into a family life in Austria with 3 kids - more than Austrian average ;)

  • Algo más...

    Algo más...

We find it so cool to live so close to the metro: U1 Kagraner Platz, guaranteeing a fast connection to Vienna city center, Hauptbahnhof, Maria Hilferstraße, MQ, Donauinsel...
There is a big cultural (music /museum/ arts) scene in Vienna to discover.
We live close to such nice places like Alte Donau, Donaupark, Danube, the Donauzentrum (mall). We are happy to go to nice places together - we like to do rope climbing and bouldering, swimming, biking, go to playgrounds like motoric park or go on little hiking tours. I have a car, too.
There is a direct bus to the airport from Karan and the U1 is going from Hauptbahnhof Vienna to Kagraner Platz.

Vienna is close to Slovakia and not far from Prague and Budapest - by train or bus.
