  After running a popular brunch café, we’re excited to open our new surf hostel for travelers who love the ocean, good vibes, and a relaxed social atmosphere. Most of our guests come to chill, learn how to surf, and meet like-minded people.
  
  The hostel is located just a 5-minute walk from the beach, close to shops, cafés, and restaurants. We’re a small, young local team of three (manager, housekeeper, and cook), and we love creating a friendly, family-style environment with shared breakfasts and dinners.
  
  We’re looking for easygoing, positive people who enjoy socializing, helping out, and being part of a laid-back surf hostel lifestyle. If you love the beach, meeting new people, and living close to the ocean, you’ll fit right in 🤙

  You’ll be surrounded by fellow travelers, sharing stories, laughs, and even practicing different languages along the way. You’ll also be working closely with our local Sri Lankan team, giving you a chance to learn about the culture, traditions, and language.
  
  This experience is a great way to develop social, creative, and hospitality skills — perfect if you’re interested in working in hostels, cafés, or any customer-focused business in the future.

  Who We’re Looking For
  
  We’re mainly looking for a social media–focused volunteer who is confident, loud (in a good way!), social, and present in hostel life. Someone who loves being around people, capturing moments, and turning daily hostel vibes into engaging content.
  
  If you’re outgoing, proactive, comfortable being on camera, and enjoy creating reels, stories, and photos — this role is for you.
  
  We’re also happy to welcome yoga teachers and creative souls (painters, mural artists, decorators) who want to contribute their skills while being part of our community.
  
  What you’ll help us with:
  
  Handling our social media (Instagram & TikTok):
  creating reels, stories, photos, and short videos of daily hostel life, activities, surf sessions, sunsets, and good vibes
  
  - Being present and social around the hostel — engaging with guests and naturally creating content
  - Acting as a social host: encouraging guests to join activities, games, nights out, and group experiences
  - Helping with daily hostel tasks when needed (light help, guest support, organizing activities)
  - Assisting guests with questions, recommendations, or anything they need
  - Sharing feedback or ideas with the team to improve content, events, and guest experience
  
  Extra skills we love:
  - Yoga teachers who would like to host classes or sunset sessions
  - Creative people who enjoy painting, murals, decorating, or adding artistic touches to the hostel
  - Confidence in front of the camera and basic editing skills (Reels / TikTok)
  
  Work Schedule & Hostel Life
  Work hours are flexible and usually split between social media creation, guest interaction, and light daily tasks. Mornings or afternoons — it depends on the day and the vibe.

  Our hostel has 2 mixed dorms with 8 beds each, a 6-bed dorm, and a 4-bed dorm. It’s a chill, laid-back place surrounded by palm trees and even some friendly monkeys 🐒, just a few minutes’ walk from the beach.

  During your workdays and days off, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to explore Sri Lanka’s stunning south coast with guests, catch some waves in surf lessons, and join in on fun activities like snorkeling, karaoke, and cooking classes. Every day is a new adventure! 🌴🌊🎶
