It was a strong introspective journey and great growth for both of us, made possible by that Spanish natural surroundings, the calm that this place gives and the kindness and sympathy of this beautiful couple. We highly recommend the experience made by Chris and Merith. We hope to visit you soon, you are welcome in Sicily!

It was great with Alessia. She was planning to stay a short period but in the end she stayed way longer. That was nice because in the time she was here she helped us a lot with our veggie garden and the animals and also some painting work.

Merith and Chris are really nice persons and they welcomed me warmly and felt me comfortable from the beginning.
If you love nature and animals this is the best place for you!
All the works were different like walking the dogs and feeding the animals, painting, watering the plants and gardening, collecting flowers and fruits and let them dry...

You can also choose the free days and when you prefer to work during the day so you can organise your time off well!
The communication and the organisation was very good and I had also the opportunity to had yoga,meditation and attend the lessons class of Sevillanas, so there are a lot of things you can do and never get bored.
The food is also Fantastic, you can choose the healthy food from Merith and the not healthy food from Chris (I recommend both)
I had a lot of fun and learned a lot of things from this experience and the place is just gorgeous!!
I will miss the animals and the nice moments with Chris and Merith, I miss them already…

She is a beautiful woman who likes to laugh and share and have a good time.
She did a fine job with painting and helped with the garden and the animals.
Good, uplifting energie(!especialy with Chris 😂) Shecworked hard and is a good communicator. She’s always welcome to come back

… read more lovely and i instantly felt right at home. The work is fun, and Merith and Chris were really great to work with. I helped to water the gardens each morning, sometimes feed and walk the dogs, and also helped with painting doors and windows around the house, and was able to be creative in this. I had a fantastic experience here and would highly recommend to any hardworking and sociable Workawars this experience. Thank you so much Merith and Chris! I spent a little over two weeks with Merith and Chris and they were both wonderful to me. They had set-up a nice spacious tipi tent for me to sleep in with two single bed stretchers inside. One I could sleep on and one for my stuff. It did get quite cold in the evening and at night but there were more than enough blankets to keep warm, and in the
… read more evening, there was a gas heater that I could use to heat up the whole tent.
The work I needed to do depended on the guests that were present throughout my stay. When no guests were around or only a couple in the casitas up the hill, I would be painting the house. During a retreat there were too many people so my work shifted to watering the garden, walking the dogs, feeding the dogs and cats, cleaning the pool and clearing the weeds in the pool area.
I was always allowed to use the fridge and other food that was available to make something for myself. Sometimes, when Merith and Chris were not too busy we would eat together. During a retreat it is pretty busy and chaotic and you might end up eating at odd times.
The property is located up on a hill and it has a beautiful view. This also makes it a very quiet place, as long as there is no retreat. It also means it is quite far away from the nearest village, 45 minutes walking up/down hill. If you don’t have any transport this could make you feel pretty isolated. For me it ended up not feeling well because I found out I just really needed the ability to get to the city on my own. This led me to not settle well and causing a bit of friction between me, Merith and Chris. We ended up having a good talk about it and decided it was a good idea to cut my planned one month short so I could go back to the city. This was the best course for me and gave Merith and Chris also a better feeling because they sensed I was not feeling comfortable.
