Petra is German / Austrian, speaks excellent English and is crazy about nature, regeneration of ecosystems, soil health and earthworms :)
Nicolas has been a member of the French Ministry of Ecology and loves nature just as much as Petra.
In the beginning of their retirement, which was 4 years ago, they have bought the old alpine farm which has become the fulfillment of their nature-orientated dreams. 4 chicken, 2 dogs, 1 cat and a goat accompany their farm-life. The all organic farm includes 2 vegetable gardens, 1 orchard, forest and pasture lands.
We love our Valley, as it is has preserved its authenticity, people are still « real » strong character Savoyan personalities, connected to nature and to their farm work. Tourists come to enjoy the beautiful nature by hiking or biking or doing trails.
Unfortunately, Nicolas has to be in health treatment at present, which leaves Petra all alone with the farm-chores to do. She would love to have a helping hand to keep things going outside and to take care of the animals and the house with her. -

Multicultural exchange: Petra is German/Austrian and speaks excellent English, while Nicolas brings his French roots and experience from the Ministry of Ecology. Conversations often flow between German, English, and French, giving you a chance to practice languages in a natural setting.
Nature-based knowledge: Both Petra and Nicolas are passionate about ecosystems, soil health, and regenerative farming. You will learn how traditional Alpine farming meets modern ecological thinking.
Authentic Alpine culture: Our valley has preserved its authenticity. The people here are strong characters, deeply connected to nature and their farm work. You will meet locals who value tradition, resilience, and simplicity.
Outdoor lifestyle: In your free time, you can join locals and visitors alike in enjoying the surrounding mountains. Hiking, biking, and trail adventures start right outside the farm.
Community atmosphere: With 4 chickens, 2 dogs, 1 cat, and a goat, our farm is lively and welcoming. Sharing meals, stories, and laughter with us around the table is part of the experience. -

Alojamiento
1) A cute bedroom and its own bathroom on the first floor of our big chalet - you will be nicely isolated from us giving you the privacy you need
or
2) A little house (Mazot), independant from the main chalet about 15m away. Its beautiful interior is furnished by traditional old wood and a good size modern bathroom.
Bedding and towels provided if needed.
Respect of the interiors and keeping the place as clean as you have found it is important to us !
No camping
We will fill up the fridge regularly, you can eat with us and do your own cooking, whatever you prefer ! We are very flexible ! -

He is a loving, service-orientated, full of good energy, easy-going, great spirited, hard working (if necessary) personality. Full of great surprises. On top of all, he cooks very well.
We planned for him to stay for a month, but we were very happy he could finally stay for 7 months !
